Gio had begun to plan an intricate way for Narima to escape Raion's possession. All the lions had become aware of Raion's abuse towards her and simply wanted her gone. Gio and Lana had never seen Raion act the way he did with Narima. Raion was over protective of her and extremely rough. Gio had to save Narima from that, even if he died trying.

Gio waited for Raion to leave his bedroom one early morning so that he could talk to Narima about escaping but Raion was not leaving his room at his usual hour. He got closer to the door and listened in careful not to bang the door slightly. He heard the bed groaning in protest as he could only imagine what Raion was doing to Narima.

Why isn't she fighting back? Gio asked himself. He pulled himself away from the door and left to distract himself from what he had just heard. I must find a way to contact the wolves... They should be able to help her better than me. If only there was a way out of this damn barrier.

As Gio left, Raion became more aggressive with his lovemaking. Narima only gritted her teeth to keep herself from whining or growling. She pulled hard against her restraints as she fought to push Raion off her. She had had enough of Raion's torment, but she could not attack him directly. Raion had noticed the newfound hatred in her eyes so he kept her chained to the headboard.

When it was time for her to eat, he would hand feed her as best he could. She would always spit it back out until he finally forced her to eat with a command. And when she needed a bath, he would bathe her slowly. Raion saw what he was doing as a caring act but Narima only saw it as a bigger reason to hate him.

"My love, I'm going out for a bit. I want you to get dressed so that you can come with me." Raion said with a smile on his face.

Narima shook her head no.

"Well since you didn't say the actual word no, you'll be coming with me, no matter what you say." Raion growled with annoyance. "Give you a chance to enjoy the snow with the rest of the pride. They need to see their queen."

He picked out a winter dress and some dark fleece leggings. He waited for Narima to put then on, but she just stood there unflinching.

"Put them on!" Raion roared. He then turned around to put his own outfit on. He arranged a white outdoor suit for himself while he waited on Narima to get dressed.

Narima slowly did as she was told. Once she was done, she stood still. She did not have any shoes on, nor did she want them. She loved being barefoot. She loved being naked because it reminded her of being a werewolf. But Raion hated seeing her naked when there could be a possibility of her being seen by others.

Raion shoved a thick jacket onto her and placed some winter boots at her feet.

"Put those on." Raion ordered. "I don't want you getting frost bite and not having any toes afterwards. I have seen it happen."

Narima rolled her eyes and shoved the boots on. She did not like the feeling they gave her as she tried to walk. Jack never forced her to wear shoes. Only once did he ask her and that was because she had cut her heel on glass. But Narima had to constantly remind herself, Jack was dead, and it was her fault. She got herself into this mess, she had to get herself out.

"Come on."

Raion pulled on her arm and Narima had to hold back a cry of pain as Raion put pressure on one of her many bruises. He led her through the house out towards the back. They passed by the spiral staircase that was being rebuilt after Narima and Aries destroyed it. Outside, Narima caught the scent of fresh snow. Raion's steps crunched loudly as Narima tried to not leave a trail, even with the boots on. She looked up from the ground as saw the lion cubs playing in the snow much like her and Hugo had played all those years ago. When they caught sight of Raion they all rushed over and bowed in front of him. Narima took a step back but was forced forward again by Raion.
