(Oma's POV)
I wake up with a jolt from the table. I got up quickly and look over, and I see Jayden on top of the poor small table crying her eyes out.
"What's wrong? What happened?" I asked with worry and concern in my voice.
"There's a spider, it's over there!" She pointed to the dresser where you see a Daddy Long Leg hanging from one of the handles.
I walk over to it and gently close it with my two hands. I open my hands and see it dangling from one of my fingers. I look over at Jayden and she knows what I'm about to do next. I walk over to her as she screams "Stop May, don't mess around with me! May, kill it!" She said with tears streaming down her face and anger in her voice.
"It won't hurt you," I say as I got closer "they won't kill you, and it's good to have them around to." I say with a smile and walk over to the window, open it and let the spider out.
I look back at Jayden covered in tears sniffing, and her face as red as I ever seen it. I walk to her and pull her into a hug. She hugs back tightly as I carry her down off the small table. I set her down on the floor and push her away. I kiss her forehead and rubbed her shoulder to make her stop crying.
Later, she stopped and swipe her tears away. She rubs her eyes with her arm and look up at me. I give her a warm smile and wrap my arms around her waist. How small it was. I bring our bodies closer and I lay my head on her shoulder. It was odd because she didn't hug me back. I only felt small figures on my arm . . . I was upset. I mad her feel uncomfortable.
"May . . . " she said in a low voice close to a whisper. "Let go . . . " she continued.
She pushes me back, but I was still holding her so she didn't move much. "Oma, stop I can't breath!" She said playfully, giggling and smiling.
Hearing my name made my heart ache. Although I didn't show the pain all I did was tackle her down and tickle her to death. She laughs and tickles me back. She tackled me and pin both my hands on top of my head.
"Gotcha." She said with a smirk and leaned down to where we were only inches apart.
I blushed madly and closed my eyes shut, looking like if I was waiting for something. I felt a quick pain between my eyes and open them when I realized she flicked me with her fingers.
"May you should get going home your parents are probably worried for you." She said sounding like she didn't want me to leave.
I pushed her off of me and I walk over to my backpack and pack up some things. I look over at Jayden and she's standing there waiting by the door with a smile when she catches me staring. I throw my backpack behind me and walk out her room to the front door.
"I can walk you home if you like." She said with a happy tone of voice.
"Nah, I'll call my brother." I reply while taking my phone out and searching my list of contacts.
I send my brother a text to pick me up from Jayden's house and wait.
When he made it, I hug Jayden goodbye and wave. I know that I'll see her again sometime but she's someone who hasn't left me yet. I wouldn't want to leave her either.

When I got inside my brothers car he starts to babble off again about Jayden and I.
"So . . . how was the date?" He said with a smirk I can see through his mirror.
"It wasn't a date, neither is it your business." I retorted raising my voice a bit.
I look back at him and he didn't talk the whole car ride. He already knows how I feel about Jayden. But the fact that he calls her Heart' by her last name makes me upset. I don't want him to take her away from me. I never said it as "I have a 'crush' on her" but a much rather "I don't want to lose her". . . right? I almost lost her when she moved to another state I wouldn't want to lose her again.
