(Jayden's POV)

Curled up in a ball with dry tears in the corners of my eyes. I get up and notice that today is the last day. How much I wanted it to stay as we were before. How happy we were before anything. Saffe already moved, and Starting from tomorrow it's my job to find them. How cold of her leaving me with such a job.

I can't ask anyone else other than Rome and the other men. So now it's pure pressure upon pressure. Frustration on school and mine and her dad. I grabbed a pillow and throw it across the room.

~~~~~
I already got school supplies, so I don't have to worry much. However school won't be the same. So I grabbed my phone and called May over.
"Why a sudden call?"
"I was wondering if we could do something. Since you know, it's the last day of summer and everything." I laugh.
"Sure."
I end the call and throw my phone on my bed. I walk up to my computer and turn it on. I sit down and type in my password. I played video games while on it. I haven't logged in a while. I got side tracked of May by all the zombies and gameplay. That all ended until I heard a knock on my door. I walk up to it and hesitate to answer it. Something hard on my heart was pushing me back. The knock repeated until I stopped myself and opened the door.
"What took long." A teen looking boy leaning on my door frame. I backed away as I looked at him from up and down.
"Mom!" I yell.
I get no answer other than the boy rolling his eyes.
"Your not May." I say and he tilted his head. Knitted his eyes into narrows. He looked confused.
"You call her that? Seems like she's growing up to fast for me to notice." He says stepping forward into my room.
I shake my head and step further back. Falling on my bed, I get up and move back to as far as my window.
"Stop, your scaring her. I'm sorry Jayden. This is my cousin Mark, he's in town and wanted to see you." A voice as May calls out of the door. I hurry behind May and hug her from behind.
All Mark does is laugh at my "stupidity". He shakes his head and holds his hand out. He says "sorry" and smiles stupidly. I pout and walk to my bed. Wondering why he's here, it makes sense that he knows something. Something that I don't know.
"Oma, leave." He says strictly and glaring stone on May.
She protested at first but she left not wanting to leave me alone. She waited out the door on the other side of the room. I looked down not knowing what he's planing. Looking over he turns to the window and back at me.
"Rome called me. He said because he's out of town, I should cover for him he also said-"
"But your just a teenage boy. What can you do to help?" I say spitting fire.
We have a long lasting staring contest. He opened his mouth to say something, but then forgotten to say anything at all. I look over at the door and to my window.
