"Why would he do that?" I was shocked.
I never thought Gray would stoop so low as to cheat after what just happened to him.
"I never thought he would cheat!" I said.
"Well, he didn't technically cheat. We aren't dating." Emma said still crying.
"But he acted like he really liked you. He said he missed you and he called you babe. Wow." Marcy said.
Then Emma ran to the bathroom and shut the door. I'm going to call Grayson. That's fucked up that he would do something like that. I picked up my phone and called him.
"Hey Ave!" He said when he picked up.
"GRAYSON WHAT THE HELL!!" I screamed into the phone.
""What?! What happened?"
"WHY DID YOU KISS THAT GIRL?! EMMA IS HEARTBROKEN!!"
"WHAT GIRL?!?!"
"On Jack's story!" I said calming down a bit.
He paused for a moment. I guess he was checking his snapchat.
"Oh my fucking god! I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!!" Grayson said.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!" I said.
"Avery let me explain!"
"What is there to explain?!"
"We were playing truth or dare. Jack said that if I didn't kiss her he would shave my head. I didn't think he would take a picture!"
"So you would rather have your hair than your girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend? Is that what she wants?"
"Is that what you want?" I asked.
"More than anything. I love her and I don't think I will ever meet anyone as special as she is."
"Well tell her that."
"Can you put her on the phone?"
"Emma!" I called, "Gray's on the phone, he wants to talk to you."
"I don't want to talk to him right now!" She yelled back.
"She said she doesn't want to talk right now." I said to Grayson.
"Oh, ok."
"Don't stop trying though."
"Ok I won't, thanks Avery."
"No problem."
"Bye."
"Bye."

For the next few days Grayson called Em everyday trying to reach her but she would never answer. He sent text after text after text saying answer me please.
"Emma, why won't you answer him? He wants to talk to you." I asked.
Marcy and Emma have slept over my house for two days now.
"I need time to move on. He obviously has." Emma said.
"Emma you don't know that. He OBVIOUSLY still likes you. Look at how much he has texted and called!" Marcy said.
"Whatever." Emma sighed.
"Well I am going to call Ethan." I said.
"Ok." They both said.
I walked upstairs and facetimed him.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey." I said back.
"What's up?"
"Nothing much, Em is just heartbroken after what was on Jack's story three days ago.
"Yea he is really upset too."
"Is that Avery?" I heard Grayson say in the back.
"Yea." Ethan said.
Grayson came over and sat next to me on the couch.
"Avery, I think I know what I need to do to talk to Em again."
"What?"
"I am going back to LA tomorrow!!"
"What?!" E and I said at the same time.
"Yea, come pick me up tomorrow, Ethan and I will be there."
"Gray we can't just leave." Ethan said.
"Yea, and do you really think Emma will come if I tell her we are going to get you?" I said.
"Tell her you are going to get Ethan and I decided to stay in New Jersey."
My phone buzzed as I got a text from my dad.
Dad: He babygirl, I have something to tell you. Can you call me?
Me: I am on the phone with Ethan rn. What do you have to tell me?
Dad: Its your mom. She died yesterday.
Me: WHAT
Oh my god was this real?!
Dad: She was hanging out with some people she met and someone ran into the bar and just started shooting. Your mom got shot.
"OH MY GOD!!" I cried out loud.
I went back onto FaceTime with Ethan. Grayson was still there. I started crying. I was in shock.
"Baby what's wrong?!" Ethan said.
ETHAN-" I tried to talk but just started crying even harder.
"AVERY?!" Ethan screamed.
"MY DAD JUST TOLD ME MY MOM DIED!!"
Ethan and Grayson just stared in shock. Then Ethan started to tear up.
"I am going back now." Ethan said as he wiped away his tears.
"What about your mom?" I said sobbing harder than ever.
"Avery, I can't bear to see you like this and not be able to hold you. We are coming back tomorrow. Gray you can just drive us back in your car."
"Oh yea I forgot, ok." Grayson said.
"Do you want me to stay on the phone with you or...?" He asked me.
"I just need s-some time." I cried.
"Ok baby I love you and I will see you tomorrow."
I hung up and kept crying.
"WHY?!?!" I screamed.
Then Emma and Marcy ran up the stairs and opened the door.
"What happened Ave?!" Em said.
"My m-mom died."
They both gasped and then came over and sat next to me on the bed. Then they wrapped their arms around me.
"I-I don't understand. She w-was a g-good person. SHE DID NOT DESERVE THAT!!"
