Chapter 7: The Battle

Aphmau's POV
I saw the broken amulet in Garroth's hand and I yelled for Laurance, Garroth, and Aaron to follow me back to the village. Sure enough, the second we got there, the entire village was swarming with guards on all sides execept for where we just came from.

I ran ahead of everyone, straight for the guard on top of Kiki. I slashed at his arm and he fell over in shock. He immediatly got up and attacked me, to which I saw another guard come from my left. This is an unfair fight! I thought to myself as I tried to fend off the girl as well.

I looked around, Lucinda was fighing off three guards, Dante was with two, Laurance was on the ground trying to keep away two, Garroth and Kawaii~chan were taking on five, Nicole had two, and Dale and Brian had four. I also saw Phoenix, Puma, and Thorgi trying to protect the house. Zoey was most likely inside holding down a barrier.

Were out numbered. I think as I as my sword gets knocked aside by the guard holding me down. Then I hear a loud caterwaul and guards from Meteli and Bright Port come crashing in. Azura, the head guard of Bright Port, comes over to me and flings both guards away. She offers her hand to me and I take it, pulling myself up.

"Thank you, Azura." "No problem Aphmau, I see you're working on walls. You should really finish them before this happens again." she tells me. "Note taken. Let's go help the others." By now Dale and Brian only have one guard, who is running away in fear. Lucinda is helping Garroth and Kawaii~chan with the last few guards. Laurance is off the ground and has a guard pinned up to a tree. Dante is helping nicole take on two more guards. Aaron. Well he seems to be fighing off three guards on his own, so he was never a problem in the first place.

Soon the entire of Pheonix Drop has no more invading Ok'hasis guards. I thank Lord Burt of Bright Port and lord candidates Kenmer and Hayden of Meteli, for their help.

~About a week later~

Everyone has healed from their wounds. Well, mostly everyone, Dante has a slash on his upper arm which Donna has been treating to keep out infection, and Dale had been cut around the ankle so that he had been limping, he has gotten better, but he still has a cut there. As dor Leona, Kiki found her with and Ok'hasis guard who was protecting her behind my house. It turns out that this guard had been told to hide the baby, but she couldn't do that to a child, probably because of motherly instincts or something like that.

As for Zane, he hasn't been seen ever since that incident in the forest.

Knock knock knock

I exit my thoughts and open the door to see Dante. "Hello Aphmau." He says to me, he looks proud. "The walls are almost completely built! Would you like to see them?" "They are? Show me!" "Follow me." I follow Dante towards the right far side of the village. I see Garroth, Laurance, Dale, Brian, Brendan, Nicole, Emmalyn, and Lucinda putting the finishing touches on the right of the gate.

"Oh Aphmau! The walls are almost done!" I hear Nicole shout over to me, she and Emmalyn were checking that the wiring for the gate was set up properly. Ever since the attack on Phoenix Drop a week ago, we have been working extra hard on finishing the gate. Now it is just about complete! "It looks awesome guys!" I call over to them.

Emmalyn runs over to me, "Lady Aphmau! Nicole and I were just finishing up the gate! It is done now, do you want to test it?" She chirps. "Okay, Emmalyn." I walk over the the gate and pull the lever, the gate lifts up vertically and a passage from Phoenix Drop to other villages is created. "Wow! This is really cool Emmalyn! Good job!" She smiles at me. "Thank you, Lady Aphmau!" She says to me and she dashes off.

~Hey everyone! Sorry for posting a bit late! I have school again tomorrow, so I might not be posting as frequently as I normally do. I wrote the last few paragraphs kind of blankly. I have writer's block right now and it is not fun if you enjoy writing. Anyways, sorry as well that this chapter is a bit shorter. As I said I have writer's block, so I have been reading more than writing. I'm lazy, I couln't find a picture that would represent the scene, and I'm too tired to draw, so I just left it out. XD Thank all of you who read my story, you don't know how much I appreciate you guys reading this! Thank you!~
