Chapter 4: "I do too"

Garroth's POV
This day could not get any better. I think to myself. I have had a crush on Aphmau ever since I first met her. I don't love her just for her looks, yes I know she is beautiful on the outside, but she is so much more than just a pretty face! She is smart, funny, caring, kind, generous, optimistic, I could go on all day saying what she is, she is amazing inside and out.

That's why I love her. That look, I have seen it before from her, that was yesterday. When we were in that situation and we looked into eachother's eyes. That look gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I don't know what that look means, but I like it, it is just.. I don't know.. nice. I stop daydreaming and realize I am still looking at her, she is smiling at me.

"Do you though?" She asks me.

"Huh? D..do I what?"

"D..do you have... f..feelings for me?" She blushes again and smiles at me.

"Y..yes." I say blushing a bright red, I blush so much when I'm around her. Did she really need to ask? Wasn't it obvious?

"I..I k..kind of do too, f..for you." She giggles to herself and looks up at the starry night sky. Her eyes are shining as if she had just accomplished something. She leans closer to me and rests her head on my shoulder. My heart flutters in my chest, I feel as if a big weight has been taken off of my shoulders. I love you Aphmau. I smile to myself, thinking that now it would be so much easier to tell her that.

I can hear soft snores coming from Aphmau now. I stand up and pick her up in the bridal position and carry her back to her house. I lay her down in her bed and whisper to her, "Good night, my angel."

I go back to the guard station and see Dante sitting at the table reading a letter as I enter.

"Hello Dante." I say smiling as I go upstairs to my room to turn in.

"Hello Garroth and good night." He says to me as I climb the ladder. I lay in my bed thinking. Wow. Aphmau said it, she actually said it! The words I have always dreamed of her saying! Maybe not in the exact context, but she actually said that she had feelings for me! I drift off to sleep with a smile on my face.

~Hey guys! I decided to write this ADORABLE bit because I was bored and I couldn't sleep. I wrote this to use up the rest of the creative ideas that I had left in my mind before I forgot about them. Sorry this is so short, another chapter will be out soon!~
