Chapter 11: The Kiss

Garroth's POV
I woke up as fresh morning light was spilling onto my face. I open my eyes and I see forest and sky. Where am I? Then I remember what happened last night.

The date.

The necklace.

The promise.

Oh. I smile. I turn my head and see Aphmau still nuzzled into my side and my arm draped around her. She blinks open her eyes and smiles at me. "Good morning sleepy head!" She says giggling. I blush. "Uh. H-hi Aphmau." I say as an embarrassed breath of air escapes my lips.

I unwrap my arm from around her and stand up. She sits and looks up at me. "Where are you going?" she asks. "I-I have guard duties." "Don't worry, I told Dante and Laurance to excuse you from your morning patrol." I smile at her as I sit down again.

She pokes my cheek. "You can't run away that easily!" she says giggling like crazy. I chuckle. "Hey! No one said I was going to run away!" I tell her, she is smiling brightly. "I can make sure you can't run away!" She says mischeviously and tackles me over, messing with my hair. "Hey! No fair! I wasn't ready!" I say as I push her off, she is giggling like a maniac now.

"You didn't tell me I couldn't do that." She smiles innocently. "I didn't know you were going to do that!" I reply laughing. She looks over at me and kisses my cheek. I blush a deep red and twiddle my thumbs.

"Hey, Garroth?" "Yes Aphmau?" "Do you love me?" I blush. I turn and slam my lips into hers. She widens her eyes in shock, her cheeks flush pink. Then she closes her eyes and wraps her arms around my neck. I cup her cheek in my hand. We pull apart, foreheads against eachother.

"I take that as a yes." She giggles, I nod and smile. I stare into her chestnut brown eyes, they're sparkling brightly.

Sparkling with love.

"Aph? D-do you w-want to be my g-girlfriend?" I ask hesitantly. She stares at me for a moment longer. "Yes! Yes, yes, YES!" she says excitedly, she hugs me tight. She looks at me and smiles. "Yes, stutter king." She says finally and falls beck laughing like a lunatic. I smile and roll my eyes.

I will never let you go. (Titanic referance. Fight me. Wait. NO! THIS WILL NOT BE LIKE THE TITANIC! I will cry if that is. XD)

"I love you, Aph." I say looking down at her. She calms down, and looks up at me, smiling. "I love you too Garroth." She looks back down and plays with her necklace. "I won't ever take this off." She says quietly, but loud enough that I heard. I smile to myself.

Aphmau's POV
This has to be the best day of my life! I could just! AHHH HAHAHA! I'm so happy! I look and see Garroth beside me smiling brightly, yet still slightly blushing. I look back down at my necklace that Garroth gave me. I absolutely love this. "I wont ever take this off." I say to myself in a small whisper. I see Garroth blush and smile again from the corner of my eye.

I said that out loud, didn't I? Whatever. I smile. I bet Garroth would agree with me when I say so much smiling has been passed between us. I don't care if I say things like that out loud anymore. Honestly, I don't mind. I love him, and he loves me back. That is all I could ask for.

He kissed me.

He asked me on a date.

He gave me a beautiful necklace.

He kissed me again.

Now were boyfriend and girlfriend.

The past few days have been amazing. I remember when I first came to this village. I saw a man cutting down a tree, I chased him to this town to where he disappeared. I saw Garroth and Zennix. The guards trapped in the well. Me moving into Emmalyn's house and telling her she could live here. Man I was oblivious back then. Rebuilding the village. Bringing the people from the water village here. Becoming Lord. Meeting Zoey, Kawaii~chan, Kiki, Molly, Dale, Laurance, Cadenza, Kenmer, and so many others. Little Levin. Meeting Zane of Ok'hasis. A-Alexis. The Sh-Shadow Knights. Lady Irene turning Alexis back, giving Laurance his sight, and removing the land of that cursed substance. Malachi. Leona and the pendant.The wall being built.

Wow. This village has come such a long way! So much has happened. Just. So. Much. I sigh.

I snap out of my thoughts and I see Garroth looking at me. "What were you thinking about?" He asks and I look at him. "This village has changed so much since I first came here. I remember it all like it was yesterday." I say.

"Yeah, this village has changed a lot." He says as his vision starts to shift as if he is sinking into his thoughts. I remember when you lost your helmet and hid in the caves. That was the first time I ever saw your face. You looked so much younger than your voice let on. I thought you'd be older because of how deep your voice is and how you talk so formally. I frown. I remember when I found out that excuse for a human, Zane, was your brother. "You are nothing like your brother." I say and Garroth jumps.

He was probably thinking about Zane too. "You are so much kinder, friendlier, and you don't look for power and to see people down. You're Garroth. The sweetest person I ever met. The reason this village still stands. Protecter of the innocent." I say, he smiles again and hugs me.

"Thank you." He whispers to me. He lets go of me. "I was thinking about, what if Zane had come to our village in the time of need and taken over. How far dimished Phoenix Drop would have become. This village could not have gotten a better Lord than you. I'm sure Levin will become a great Lord when he is an adult, with you as his mother." I smile at him. So many memories. I spent so many of them with Garroth.

"We should get back to the village." I blush. "People might start wondering where we are." He nods, kissing my cheek, he stands up and walks off. I watch him as he turns to look over his shoulder. "Are you coming?" He asks as he motions me over. I catch up to him and entwine my fingers in his.

We walk back to the village hand in hand.

~HIII!!! So I just watched the my street this morning. Just.. I SCREAMED! HELP ME! I wouldn't stop screaming! I am at my cousin's house today beacuse I got snowed in and I couldn't go home yesterday.

It is like, no snow ALL winter, then on January 23 A BLIZZARD COMES AND LEAVES US WITH OVER TWO FEET OF SNOW!!! Just.. *facepalms*

Aaanyways! I couldn't stop laughing and screaming at the freaking kiss. Just AHAHAHA! (Aphmau's MS The Kiss) I fangirled so much... Just.. I have no words...
