Aphmau's POV
I'm lying in bed. Today is Thursday, November 16th. Just a few days after the whole thing between me and Garroth. The talent show is on November 30th, just two weeks from now.

I can't believe it is already so close! To be honest, I'm both excited and nervous at the same time.

I shake my head, clearing my thoughts. I turn over on my side and reach to turn on the lamp. As I flip the switch, my room gets bathed in a bright yellow light, and I blink to adjust my eyes to the new light level. I go to my computer to turn it on, but just before my finger hits the power button, a small, folded up slip of paper catches my eye. I smile, picking up the note, I carefully unfold it and read the writing.

------------------------------------------------------
They say time flies,
When you have fun.
I say time flies,
While with someone.

I may have blacked out,
I may have lost memory.
But while I still stand,
You're still with me.

It has already been,
Two months past since then,
But I'm still curious,
To why that all happened.

You stand by my side,
Throughout thick and thin.
You risk your pride,
Just to see me grin.

It's barely been two months,
I know that is true,
But it feels like forever,
While I'm beside you.

I don't know if I'll give you this,
But I wanted to write it,
To put what I really mean,
Into a poem for the right moment.

Xx Aphmau
------------------------------------------------------

It took me about five minutes to write this. I don't know the real reason I wrote this, and I don't even know why I kept it.

But I did.

I slip the paper under my lamp and turn to get ready.

"KIKI I MADE BREAKFAST!" I shout up the steps and I go back to the table and wait for her. A few minutes later she comes running down the steps with a bright smile on her face.

"Hey Aph! Good morning!" She chirps. "Say, are you going to meet up with your boyfriend today!?!" She banters, poking my side a few times.

"Ugh! Would you cut that out!?! He is not my boyfriend!" I moan, crossing my arms on the table and flinging my head down into them. "That's getting annoying!" My muffled voice comes out from behind my arms.

"Kikiki! Suure! You only say that because you wish it were true!" She continues through her giggles.

I look up at Kiki, eyes slitted. "Kiki. If you value your life, I suggest you stop it now." I growl, annoyed.

"Yeesh! I was just poking a little fun! Why are you so angry?" She asks innocently.

"I'm not angry, just irritated. That constant teasing everyday can and does get annoying." I say, calming down.

"Okay fine." She says, sitting down in her seat to eat her food.

Kiki... Just... Ugh. Why do you put me in these kind of moments? I sigh picking up my fork, I poke at the pancake. Why is this so confusing? One small thing does have a large effect on the way things can be seen. I smile as I drift into my thoughts. I guess that's what they mean by the butterfly effect.

The butterfly effect is the theory that a single event, no matter how small, can change the effects of the future in many ways, forever.
