Chapter 22: The clue

Aphmau's POV
I pull out the slip of paper. It was tucked at the very bottom of Kiki's bag and crumpled up. I unfold it.

That jerk! I'LL MAKE HER PAY FOR HURTING KIKI!

On the paper, partly scratched out, is writing.

Don't you dare tell anyone about this or you're going to be sorry! It is written in permanent marker at the bottom of a picture.

Photoshopped together are Zane and Kiki holding hands. Zane's eyes are gleaming and Kiki is smiling. The only tell on the picture that shows that it is photoshopped, is the white hair that is behind Zane's hand and the fingers that are supposedly Kiki's, are much lighter than her actual hand.

This is when Zane and Sasha dated. Kiki's part is when she was holding hands with Kawaii~Chan while Kawaii~Chan was trying to balance on her bike after hurting her ankle. How long has she had this?

I look at the picture again and see a small brown bag clipped to Zane just above his scarf and hidden behind his hair. What is that?

I get up and walk back to my room and sit back down beside Kiki. I show her the picture. "I was looking for this and for some clue. It looks as if this is when Zane and Sasha dated, but look closely at the spot where there is a gap between Zane's hair and scarf."

She looks at it, her eyes widen. "What is that?" She whispers.

"It looks to be some kind of bag, but what of?" I say continuing to look at the picture.

She looks away. "I know what your thinking and it isn't going to work." She says softly.

"Huh?"

"You want to confront Zane. If you do that, he'll get suspicious and go after me." She says shaking her head.

"I don't want to confront him, I want to watch him and his group." I say determinedly.

"How will you do that?" She asks looking back at me.

"I don't know, but here..." I walk over to my dresser and pull out an outfit. I toss it to her. "Put that on. I want to gather everyone for a meet up." I tell her.

She smiles. "Thank you." She gets up and walks out of the room to the bathroom to get dressed.

Knock knock knock

Kiki just came out of the bathroom and she looks much neater now.

She is wearing a dark blue shirt that has a yellow crescent moon on it. The shoulders are cut out and there is a hole to put your thumbs through on the sleeves. She also has gray jeans on with black high tops. Her hair is up in her usual blue ribbon, I got her a new ribbon because she got rid of her old one.

"Nice!" I say, smiling.

"Thank you so much Aphmau!" She hugs me. "Now lets go talk about the plan!" She says, more upbeat than before.

I'm in a bright red shirt with flames around the base of the shirt that gives it a slight ombre appeal, fading from bright red at the top to a dark orange at the base. The shirt is a bit big so the sleeves fall past my palms and end at the base of my fingers. I have a white skirt on that reaches down to my knees, it has a small flame on the left side. I also have white flats on and my hair is up in a ponytail as well.

"Hey don't mention it! Come on!" I race down the stairs to the door and open it.

I see Garroth, Katelyn, and Cadenza in the front. Behind them I see Kawaii~Chan, Dante, Nicole, Laurance, Zoey, Emmalyn, and Lucinda.
