16. Congratulations

Clarification:

Gautham: Anirudh's cousin brother

Parvathi: Gautham's wife,whom he has married six months ago..due to Parvathi's family pressure.

I wanted to clarify this because their names are used in this chapter and they were not mentioned in previous chapters except Anirudh's intro. So I didn't want my readers to get confused.. So I added it at the beginning..

Poorva and Sathish reached Kavisha's house. Sathish was shocked to see his parents there. Poorva's mother had called them there. Everybody stared at them. Poorva was so nervous. She wasn't able to look at her family. Poorva's mother broke the silence

'Poorva what the hell is going on? Why did you lie to me?'

Poorva was about to say something when her mother continued

'and don't you dare utter a single lie henceforth.. we just need the truth Poorva.. Only the truth!'

her mother said finality. Poorva glanced at Sathish and after she received a positive nod she spoke

'Sorry I lied to all of you sorry.. We didn't mean to lie, Sathish wanted to inform you all but..'

Anirudh faked a irritated look and said

'But what Poorva?'

Looking at Anirudh, Poorva feel guilty her brother was one of the closest persons to her and she had lied to him and that to about his best friends relationship with her

'But I thought you wouldn't accept our relationship because once you told Sathish that if he was the last guy on earth still you wouldn't want to make him your sister's life partner. So I thought my relationship with Sathish would ruin your friendship with him. So I didn't tell you.. I am sorry anna!'

Anirudh turned to Sathish and asked

'What was your reason for lying to me?'

'Sorry Ani, I never wanted to lie to you but Poorva... Poorva wanted to wait for the right time. I just respected her decision.'

'Sathish you could tell me everything not as her brother but as your best friend. I am so disappointed in you both'

Anirudh turned around and smirked. He could get a best actor for such high melodrama. He was so excited for Sathish and Poorva but just wanted to wait because his mother had an awesome plan. And after the plan their faces would be priceless. Oh god he couldn't wait to congratulate them.

Poorva's mother cleared her throat and said

'Poorva and Sathish, you can't marry each other because we have already..fixed Poorva's wedding with someone'

Poorva and Sathish got up from their chairs. Both of them didn't expect this. They knew everybody would be angry but didn't anticipate their rejection.

Poorva walked towards her mother and kneeled in front of her.

'Mom you are joking right? You can't do this to me. Why was I not informed about this proposal. And I want to clear it once and for all I won't marry any other guy other than Sathish'

Poorva turned around and stood next to Sathish. Poorva's mother smiled looking at Poorva's child like nature. She immediately faked an angry look and said 'Poorva we don't want to listen to any of your reasons. You are going to meet him and his family today itself. Don't create a scene here okay?'

Poorva didn't know what to. She turned towards her father but her father turned away because he couldn't control his smile looking at Poorva's and Sathish's sad faces. Sathish turned towards his parents and said

'Mom Dad, you approved our relationship right then why aren't you telling them anything?'

Sathish's mother looked at him and said

'Sorry Sathish what can we do.. We tried but we can't force them. Its their daughter's life after all..'

His mother held her hands to her eyes to show a disappointed look but in reality she stiffled a laugh looking at her sons disappointed face. Kavisha and her family was a mere spectator in all this drama. Poorva's mother finally felt pity of Sathish and Poorva and said

'Poorva come lets meet your future in laws'

Poorva glared at her mother and her Sathish's arm tightly. Her mother smiled at her and walked towards her and said

'After marriage you an hold his hand for as long as you want. But first go and take blessing from your in laws'

Poorva and Sathish looked at each other. Poorva was so nervous. She stammered

'Mmmoommmm what..ddoo..you..mean?'

Anirudh walked towards Poorva and asked

'Would you like to marry my best friend.. Sathish?' without waiting for her reply he turned towards Sathish and asked

'Would you like to marry my idiot sister?'

For the idiot in the sentence he received a smack from his mother.

Sathish grinned from ear to ear and hugged Anirudh and thanked him for accepting their relationship. Poorva turned to her mother and hugged her,who was smiling at her.

After they tooked everybody's blessings,Poorva walked towards Anirudh and hugged him

'Sorry anna,I hide such a thing from you. I know you love me. You have done so many things for me without asking me for it. You remember when Parvathi came to our house after marriage and liked my room and mom asked me to give my room to Parvathi and Gautham. You willing to give your room to me for my comfort and didn't even think twice that you had to sleep in the living room..that to on the comfortable sofa or on the floor. Why I don't know I thought you wouldn't accept my relationship with Sathish.. I should have known better you would accepted it. Thank you so much I am so lucky to have  a brother like you.'

Anirudh smiled at her and said

'Sathish is the best guy for you.. If you both wouldn't have selected each other I think I would have liked to play a match maker at a later point. I guess.. and for your kind information I told him that I wouldn't want him as your life partner because I didn't want my best friend tied to a donkey you know' saying that he started laughing. Poorva hit him hard and started laughing listening to his antics. Anirudh stopped laughing and said

'Poorva thank god you would be vacating my room soon. I would be needing it in a few months you know'

He looked at Kavisha and winked at her.

Before she could ask anything her mother loudly said to no one particular 'we must start the preparation for both weddings'

Sathish and Poorva looked at each other and unanimously said

'Both weddings?'

Poorva's mother replied

'Yes yours and Ani's wedding'

Poorva turned to Anirudh and asked feeling said for Kavisha

'To whom?'

'To whom do you think Poorva?'

Poorva turned around to look at the person who spoke. Kavisha walked towards her and repeated

'To whom do you think Poorva?'

Poorva realized the answer. She smiled and hugged Kavisha

'Really Sha? Anna is marrying you.. O god I am so happy..yippee..'

'Poorva don't call me by my name.. I am your elder brother's soon to be wife,call me anni'

Kavisha said sarcastically,at which Poorva and Kavisha started laughing and hugged each other. Poorva turned to Anirudh and said

'Really Kavisha,you want to marry my idiot brother?'

At which everybody started laughing and Poorva happily hugged Anirudh. Then Sathish hugged Anirudh and Kavisha hugged Poorva. All four of them started teasing each other and simultaneously said

'CONGRATULATIONS!!'
