[Adam's POV - Sunday evening]

My heart raced as my mind wandered and I thought of Brielle. How she had held me last night. Both of us gazing out across the lake in beautiful silence, a magic feeling hanging in the air, almost bordering on surreal as we sat deep in the twilight. As we sat as a couple.

The throaty rumble of a car distracts me from my thoughts momentarily as it drives past. The earthy roll of tyres on cool evening tarmac making me smile for no apparent reason.

 I felt really good today.

Probably because I was on my way to Brielle’s.

I smirk at the thought as I adjust my hair a little. I really couldn’t wait to see her again, ever since the moment I’d woken up she’d been on my mind. In fact I couldn’t think I’d had such a good sleep since last night, my thoughts for Brielle were soft and gentle, lulling me into a state of deep slumber where I stayed like that all night. The insomnia for one night leaving me entirely.

It’s funny what one person can to do you I muse as I finally turn onto Brielle’s driveway.

With confident steps I quickly strode up the concrete path and to the door, knocking immediately as I forgot my nerves entirely. My excitement to see Brielle blotting out any other thoughts I had.

After a couple of seconds the door finally clicked and swung inwards, Brielle poking her head round the door as she beamed at me.

In that one moment I felt my heart flutter weakly as I gazed happily at her.

“Hey Adam come in.” She welcomed with a cheery smile that made me lost for words. Grinning back I stepped inside and watched as she shut the door, turning round she let out a contented sigh and looked at me with an adorable expression; her head tilted to one side as her icy eyes twinkled mesmerizingly.

“It’s good to see you.” I say as we meet in a cosy hug.

Brielle chuckles lightly, her body shuddering against mine from her sweet little giggles. Smiling immediately I rub her back gently, my fingers running over her warm fuzzy sweater as I explored a small section of her smooth back with tamed fascination.

Gradually uncoupling from the embrace we stood smiling at one another for a moment till Brielle delicately slipped her hand into mine, my stomach flipping as I felt the soft warmth radiating from her hand. Grinning cheekily she calmly led me through from the hallway into the kitchen.

“You haven’t eaten yet have you?” Brielle queried as we walked into the light familiar kitchen I’d come to know so well.

“No.” Brielle nods and turns to face me, another heart melting smile on her face as she gazed up into my eyes and took my other hand in hers.

“You fancy a pizza maybe?” She sassed with lowered eyebrows. Chuckling at her expression I eagerly nod my head, Brielle knew me too well, I could never turn down pizza.

Squeezing my hands softly Brielle grins and casually steps away as she goes to get the pizza. Following her across the room with my eyes I sigh contentedly, the happiness I was feeling was incredible; I’d only just come round and already I was feeling over the moon. Just the simple fact I was in her company was enough to send goosebumps trailing down my arms.

“You can take your coat off Adam.” Brielle calls from the kitchen, her light voice halting my thoughts abruptly.

“What? Oh- yeah!” I mumble as I notice my heavy duffel coat still on. Hurriedly taking it off to reveal a fleecy grey hoodie beneath I strolled into the hallway and quickly placed it on the coat rack as well as taking off my shoes and placing them under a small table. Returning to the kitchen a moment later I couldn’t helping smiling as I watched Brielle place the pizza in the oven and set a timer on her phone; looking up as she did so she smirked and bit her lip ever so slightly. The action though small, made my body flush with a hot surge of emotion, my infatuation for her was surprisingly strong and it took quite a bit of effort to subdue those thoughts.
