[Brielle's POV]
I'm awoken to the quiet sound of shuffling around by the foot of the bed I'm sleeping in. Frowning gently I rub my eyes and take a look around me, my mind was still fighting to wake up so the fact I wasn't in my own room confused me horribly. Sitting up I scratch my head as I see that the room is covered with piles of clothes, several dotted around on the floor and I even noticed how some were on the bed alongside various other things such as a laptop and charger, iPhone, some loose change and other random miscellaneous items.
Suddenly Adam pops his head up from the bottom of the bed; his dark eyes dart to me and he smiles in an instant, a soft blush covering his cheery face.
"Hey Bri!" He says happily as he stands up and gives a light stretch. I smile sleepily back at him, still feeling a little confused what he was doing here.
"Woke up early this morning so I thought I'd unpack my gear, I hope you don't mind." Adam says as he shuffles about dorkily on his feet. It was only then that I understood what he was saying; the images and memories pouring back into my mind. My eyes widen and I look at him in shock.
"Did I spend the night here?" I ask incredulously. Adam lets out a chuckle and nods his head, several of his dark brown locks falling across his forehead causing him to softly flick them away with a shake of his head. I look back at him guiltily and bite the inside of my bottom lip nervously.
"Don't look so terrified Bri it's fine!" Adam says with a reassuring smile. Swallowing a lump in my throat I smirk back at him and gradually smile as I realise he's genuinely fine with the matter.
“S-sorry, I didn’t mean to be a bother, I guess I just- fell asleep.” I say shakily. The sudden nerves I was feeling were strange and I couldn’t help wondering why, it seemed like our roles were reversed, I was the shy one and Adam was the chatty one. Throwing me a grin Adam rolls his eyes as he puts one of the empty bags back into the wardrobe.
“You weren’t a bother at all. I should’ve known how tired you were.” Adam says as he turns back to me, his cheeks flushed red a little from the exertion of fighting the bag back into the wardrobe. “Would you like some breakfast?” He asks sweetly as he fixes me with an adorable smile. Blushing a little I avert my gaze for a moment, my eyes trailing around the room as I organise my thoughts.
“It’s fine I can get some at my place.” I reply quietly as I flick my eyes back to his. Adam frowns but keeps the smile on his face, his eyes pinning me to the spot in a strange way.
“I don’t mind Brielle.” Adam says in a matter of fact way. I smirk as I realise he wants me to stay.
“Adam stop being so nice!” I exclaim, Adam giggles and walks to the door, turning to look at me as he stands in the doorway.
“Just try stop me Bri. Get up we’re having pancakes.” He says in a firm tone. His dark eyes fixing me with a mysterious look before his demeanour crumbles and he smirks stupidly at me. Giggling back at him I watch him shake his head and walk out of the door still smiling widely; I was already feeling a lot better.
Quickly making my way to the bathroom I freshen up and go downstairs where I can already smell the tempting wafts of pancakes drifting through from the kitchen. I smile as I see Adam stood by the cooker gently prodding the sizzling pancakes with a metallic spatula, I was so happy to see him again.
Turning around Adam throws me a grin, smirking back at him I walk over to the breakfast bar and take a seat, my eyes drifting around the kitchen taking in the familiar sight. Over the weeks of the tour I’d been looking after Adam’s house, making sure the plants were watered, sorting the mail, that kind of thing. The house definitely felt more inviting now he was back; even though he was a quiet man his departure had still left an empty hole in my heart. But as I watch him I could steadily feel the hole filling, little by little.
