[Brielle's POV]
Adam flicked his gaze to the wind mirror in the car and grinned.
“You wanna see what this baby’s got?” He puzzled with lowered eyebrows as he smirked across at me, his dark eyes flashing with mischief and excitement. My heart raced even further but I nodded despite myself, I had to admit I wanted to see what was under the bonnet of the car, what power was available, what speeds we could be taken to.
Whipping his eyes back to the road Adam grinned again and put his foot to the floor.
Almost immediately the mustang leapt forwards with an almighty roar.
The thick black tyres eating up the road in great bites as it thrust us back into our seats, the raw power was astounding, thrilling and wild, like an untamed animal fighting for control. The throaty growls the engine pumped out were chilling, every sound oozed with power and strength as the car hurtled down the dusty road with terrifying speed.
Letting loose an excited laugh Adam tightened his grip on the steering wheel as he continued to accelerate, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the wheel with incredible strength; soon the car was speeding past 60 miles an hour without even the slightest hint of stopping.
Soon 60 turned into 70.
And 70 to 80.
Eventually reaching 100 Adam began to ease off the pedal and let the car naturally slow, the dead straight road was beginning to run out, the exhilarating ride was over.
I look across at Adam with wide eyes and a grin to match as the car slowed to a reasonable pace. Meeting my gaze Adam let out a shaky breath and chuckled heartily, he looked crazed, the sparks in his eyes filled with adrenaline as he gazed at me for a moment.
“Wow!” I breathe, utterly unable to express how amazing the power in the car was.
Flicking his eyes away a moment to study the dashboard Adam smirked and looked back at me.
“This is the one.”
[Authors note: Mainly a filler timelapse chapter to build up to Christmas next chapter which is really going to be sweet! Although it also shows Adam got his mustang so bro points for him yeah?!]
