Deer in the Headlights

[Introduction]

General plot information:

So this fanfiction will be about Adam and a lifelong friend, Brielle. I’m hoping to make it quite lengthy so I can get in lots of details and make the story more interesting because I’m a sucker for details!

Anyway the story will be based loosely around events of real life in the autumn of 2008; it will be viewed from both perspectives of Adam and Brielle (perhaps other key figures occasionally if it fits the story).

So about Brielle, she is a year younger than Adam, making her 22 at the current time, they both went to high school together and have been close friends for years. She has straw blonde hair that falls to her shoulders, a kind face with crisp blue eyes that highlight her rosy lips. Brielle is quite tall being 5 foot 9", she is a pretty girl and was quite popular at high school, though she preferred to hang around Adam, her best friend.

When she was 18 Brielle’s mother died unexpectedly, later found out that she had a cancerous tumour, despite this happening years ago it is still quite painful for both Brielle and her father and the memories sometimes come back to haunt them both. Adam has helped her through the tough time as she has helped him with his own troubles. She lives on her own, as does Adam, in a quiet street in Owatonna, Minnesota. She has recently been fired from her job in a record store and is looking for employment.

Adam is a shy, introverted young man with a passion for music. He is employed at the Coca Cola factory where he loads trucks for the company however he is finding the job menial and really wants to pursue his love of music. At the current time Adam is making music in the spaces between work and when his insomnia plagues him at night, he has many of the Sky Sailing tracks completed and also many other side projects such as Port Blue, Insect Airport too but has not released them truly yet, right now he is beginning to experiment with Owl City.

Brielle has always and will always be there supporting his music, so when Owl City takes off so fast Adam needs her there, inevitably this draws them closer but is there something more than friends between them?
