Cedars-Sinai Medical Center February 24, 1995

-Eazy's POV-

After that mini asthma attack I had, I ended up at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I hate hospitals but I had no choice. Somehow Aaliyah found out and she's in the room with me waiting for my doctor to come in.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"I am now, I dont know what was wrong with me earlier. Thanks for coming."

              "You're welcome."

I can tell she was still hurt. I know I fucked up but maybe it's just best for us to go our separate ways.

Minutes later, my doctor came. When he got in the room he just stood there with a blank look on his face.

"Aren't you gonna say something? What's the problem is it a respiratory infection, asthma, pneumonia?" she asked.

"Well actually it's related. The tests results are in and I'm so sorry Mr. Wright but you've tested positive for HIV."

"Get the fuck outta here," I said.

"I'm sorry wait what?" Aaliyah asked in confusion.

"Okay so here's what's going on with your body. CD4 or T-cells are a type of white blood cell that play a major role in protecting your body from infection. They send signals to activate your body's immune response when they detect viruses and bacteria. Once a person is infected with HIV, the virus begins to attack and destroy the T-cells of their immune system. A healthy person's T-cell range should be between 600 to 1200. Your T-cell range is 14."

"But I aint no faggot."

"Mr. Wright the virus can also be spread by unprotected heterosexual sex."

"That's not right. You need to test that again, test it over," I said.

"We took 5 tests with 5 different samples and they all came back positive."

"SHIT!" Aaliyah screamed while leaving the room.

Tears started to form in my eyes. "She's pregnant doc so what this mean?"

"It doesn't mean that she contracted the virus but just to be sure, we have to test her as well."

"Okay so when do we start the treatment? I gotta get healthy, I got things to do. What are we gonna do?" I asked.

He then sat on the edge of the bed.

"Mr. Wright you must understand that you are very very sick."

"But I don't even feel that bad doc dont tell me that!"

"With the proper treatment and care, we can keep you comfortable for about 6 months."

"Comfortable? What do you mean comfortable?!"

He sighed and tried to hold back tears. "I'm so sorry Mr. Wright. I'll give you some space."

After he left, I felt nothing but tears fall down my face. I couldn't stop crying. I still think they made a mistake. I can't have HIV, it doesn't make sense. But if its true, the only thing I can say is "why me?"
