Compton, CA 1989

The year is now 1989 and N.W.A. is blowing up. Our second tape, Straight Outta Compton, was released on August 9, 1988. It is our debut studio album. "Straight Outta Compton" is the lead single and title track.

I forgot to mention that we decided for me to release my own debut album. It's called Eazy Duz It and it was released on September 13, 1988. A week after my birthday. Cube, Ren, and the D.O.C helped write some of the rhymes.

Didn't see this coming. Back in 1986, I
didn't see myself as Eazy-E the rapper and businessman. I never wanted to be a rapper though, it just happened. We are about to begin our first tour. A great way to start the new year. The guys and I are ready to hit the road and meet our fans. If it wasn't for our supporters, we wouldn't be where we are. So I have to give them credit.

Our first gig at Skateland was kind of like practice for us. But this tour will be the real deal. We will be performing live in front of thousands of people at different cities. I'm blessed. My life is changing for the better. Our first stop will be in Chicago, IL and we will be performing at the Riviera Theatre.

When we got to Chicago, we were tired as hell from the long bus ride but we can't sleep. There's money to be made and we have thousands of fans here waiting to hear our voices. I could hear the announcer hyping up the crowd. The show will begin in approximately six minutes.

We met backstage and began to gear up.

"Okay now this aint Skateland, this is the real deal. Thousands of people paid just to hear us spit some rhymes so let's take this shit serious," I said.

Cube interrupted and asked "so what's up with our contracts though?"

Jerry looked at him and said "we're working on your contracts Cube. Dont worry. Right now, just focus on putting on a hell of a show."

"Okay just checking."

We were finally on stage and I never seen anything like it. This is my first time seeing so many people in one place and the best part is, these people came to see what I created. So this is my talent, this is what I'm good at. I'm a musician and a businessman.

Two minutes into the show and the crowd was already screaming my name. "EAZY! EAZY! EAZY!" they chanted. The first song we performed was "We Want Eazy" which is on my Eazy Duz It album. Ren and Dre began rapping.

"People from everywhere gather around checking out the sound that Eazy is throwing down. With some help from Ren and Dre making a way with dope style yo Eazy what you gotta say"

"A miracle modern creation. Eazy-E's on the set hyped up with the bass and a little bit of what you love from a brother that's smooth like a criminal, I mean subliminal. Otherwise known as a villain. Because I'm ruthless when I spot a sucker I kill him. But most I think know not to deal with me. Yo its obvious, tell em who you came to see."

"EAZY!" the crowd yelled. "EAZY!"
