Aaliyah finally gave me a chance and we got together. I took her to a mexican restaurant here in LA called La Barca. This is our first date. I came dressed in casual clothes and my Compton hat. I felt bad about it though because she's wearing a nice black dress with heels.

The hostess escorted us to our table and asked us what we wanted to drink. We both ordered soda.

"Are you ready to order or do you need some time?" our waitress asked.

"We're still looking," I replied.

"Okay take your time. Let me know when you're ready"

            "Well this place is nice."

"I guess I'm just trying to impress you," I said.

"You aint gotta impress me."

"Well give me props. I done brought you to this fancy expensive restaurant. I'm trying to be romantic."

She laughed and said "well you're doing a great job but take off that hat."

"I love my hat. I aint never taking it off. I'll probably get buried in it."

The waitress returned to our table minutes later. She was hispanic and her English wasn't that good.

"Are you two ready to order now?"

"We're ready," I said.

"I'll take a taco salad with chicken instead of beef with a side of jalapenos."

"Okay and you sir?"

"Chicken fajitas with a side of chips and salsa," I replied

"Gracias," she said as she took our menus.

She gave both of us a Sombrero to wear. I put mine on top of my Compton hat. Aaliyah had a sour look on her face but I love my hat too much, I just cant take it off. I know I look crazy with a hat inside my Sombrero.

"How is our first date going so far?" I asked.

"Eric you ask too many questions," she said while blushing.

"Well I see I got you blushing. Ever since we got here you been smiling your ass off," I said with a straight face.

She tried to hide her smile. "I'm just a happy person. I love to smile and laugh and I'm not blushing. You'll know if I'm blushing trust me."

"Yeah but you aint been smiling like this when we first met," I said while smirking.

"So how's the music going?" she asked.

I laughed and asked "why you changing the subject? And everything is fine. Ruthless have more acts so its not just N.W.A. anymore."

"Well that's good to hear, congrats."

"Thank you."

"I've always wanted to know, why is your voice so unique?" she asked.

"I have bronchitis. I had it all my life."

"Oh, didn't know that bronchitis can affect your voice."

Our food was finally ready. The waitress brought our plates to our table.

"Here you go. Do you need anything else?"

"Extra napkins," I said. While we ate our food we continued to laugh and talk.

After our date was over I took her home.

"Thanks for dinner," she said.

"You should've let me take you out a long time ago."

"Yeah I just wasn't interested in a relationship but I said hey why not. You're a sweet person."

"Well thanks for finally giving me a chance," I said. I gave her a kiss and drove off.
