"A hardcore gangster rapper from Compton is currently at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Eric 'Eazy-E' Wright has just revealed that he has AIDS. The rapper says he does not know how he contracted the fatal disease."

-Cube's POV-

I was at home watching the news with Kim when I heard about E. I had no idea that he has been in the hospital since February. He's diagnosed with AIDS. Damn E, how'd you let this happen? We was just in New York a few months ago laughing about the old days and now this happens. As soon as I heard the news, I went to the hospital to check on him.

I arrived at the hospital and saw Ren, Dre, and Yella. "How is he doing?" I asked Dre.

            "He aint doing too good man. He has AIDS and I didn't even know that he had HIV," he said while holding back tears.

            "I can't go in there Dre, I dont want to see him laid up like that," I said.

            "I feel you man. Right now I would give anything just to get him healthy and go back to the good old days."

Dre couldn't hold back his tears, no matter how hard he tried. Ren and Yella are taking it hard too and to tell you the truth man, I'm starting to feel tears form in my eyes too. No matter what we said to each other in the past, that's still my little nigga E. We're all outside of his room crying our asses off but Dre is taking it harder than the rest of us. Maybe that's just his guilt.

-Eazy's POV-

After my illness was announced to the world,
I started to receive death threats and they were mostly from my baby mamas.

They immediately got theirselves and my kids tested. According to my doctor, they're all HIV negative. Aaliyah had to keep moving me from room to room. This doesn't make any sense. I still dont understand why this is happening to me.

Yella and I talked for awhile. He was choking up. He can't stand to see me like this just like everyone else.

             "This is from Bone Thugs. They wanted me to give it to you," he said while placing a cassette tape on the edge of my bed.

              "Thanks man. Now stop crying, I'll call you when I get out of here alright?" I said.

               "You promise E?"

              "I promise."

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center March 26, 1995

                 "In Los Angeles this evening at approximately 6:35pm, rapper Eazy-E has died after losing his battle with AIDS. The rapper received more than 100 calls per hour. He was the founder of Ruthless Records, rap group N.W.A., and nicknamed the Godfather of gangsta rap. Wright was 30 years old."

Eazy wrote me a letter to read to his fans and family.

"I'm not religious, but wrong or right, that's me. I'm not saying this because I'm looking for a soft cushion whenever I'm heading. I just feel I've got thousands and thousands of young fans that have to learn about what's real when it comes to AIDS. Like something good that will reach out to all my homeboys and their kin because I want to save their asses before it's too late. I'm not looking to blame anyone except myself. I've learned in the last week that this thing is real and it doesn't discriminate. It affects everyone. Now I'm in the biggest fight of my life and it aint easy. But I want to say much love to those who have been down with me and thanks for your support."
