The next day, I decided to hang out with my lil homie Lorenzo, or Ren. He's also from Kelly Park. It's been awhile since I chilled with Ren because of this drug dealing shit. I'm a busy man, what can I say. I would rather be tired and busy than broke.

Moms always say that dope isn't the only way to eat. She's right. There's something else out there for me. Selling dope is not what I want to retire from. Everyone has a talent, everyone is good at something. But what is my talent? What am I good at? Selling drugs? My life gotta change. I want my moms and pops to be proud of their Eric Wright.

I heard a knock on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

             "Ren." he replied.

              "Alright come in."

"So what's the plan for tonight?"

"I wanna go to Dooto's. I just need a drink and some fun. I've been slanging the rocks for weeks non-stop and haven't had any time for my social life. My lil homie Dre and his group will be performing. I'll even introduce you to him, he's cool as fuck. You'll like him."

              "Aight E, let's go."

It was 9:50pm and Dooto's was off the chain. They were playing loud ass music, everyone was on the floor having a good time, and of course there was fine ass women here too.
Man I missed this life. I missed hanging out with the homies and enjoying life. Ren was already acting a fool and he hasn't even had a drink yet.  A few minutes later, my homie Dre and his crew got on stage and started to perform.

I've always thought that Dre looked funny as hell wearing lipstick, lace, and a glittery jacket. After the World Class Wreckin Cru finished performing, Yella or DJ Yella, another member of the WCWC, introduced a youngin by the name of Ice Cube. He got on stage and started spitting some mad rhymes.

"Here's a lil something bout a nigga like me. Never should've been let out the penitentiary. Ice Cube would like to say that I'm a crazy muthafucka from around the way. Since I was a youth, I smoke weed out. Now I'm the muthafucka that you read about taking a life or too that's what the hell I do. You dont like how I'm living well fuck you! This is a game and I'm in it......"

The crowd was showing him mad love and me and Ren liked what we were hearing.

"About drinking straight out the coke bottle. Do I look like a muthafuckin role model? To a kid looking up to me, life aint nothin but bitches and money. Cuz I'm the type of nigga thats built to last if you fuck with me I'll put my foot in ya ass. I dont give a fuck cuz I keep bailing. Yo, what the fuck are they yelling?!"

He had everyone in Dooto's hype as fuck. Yeah the World Class Wreckin Cru was good but this guy named Ice Cube turned the club outside down. While everyone else enjoyed the performance, the club owner Lonzo did not.

He hates hardcore gangsta music and does not want it to be played in his club. He's always on Dre's ass because of this. They met backstage after Ice Cube got off the stage.

"So is this piss off Lonzo day?" he asked. "Didn't I tell you that I dont want none of that street ass rap shit played at my club?"

Lonzo annoys the hell out of Dre but Lonzo is his boss so he has to just deal with his bullshit or leave.

"I'm just trying to give the crowd what they want Lonzo. Let's be real, no one wants to hear music that came out decades ago. Did you not see how hype the crowd was when lil homie got on stage? Exactly, that's the kind of music they want to hear."

"I constantly have to remind you that I want these people to think about pussy, not pistols. Don't play that shit in my club anymore Dre and I mean it."

          "Aight man", Dre responded.

Minutes later, he met me and Ren at a table. He gave me a hug because I ain't seen that nigga in a minute.

"What's been up E?" he asked.

"Shit nothing much man just making this money. That's all I can do. But I see you making yours, in your glittery ass jacket."

"Man you know I hate wearing this shit. But right now I have no choice man. I have nowhere else to go and on top of that, moms was trippin earlier so I left. I'm at my auntie's place with my baby until I find me somewhere else to stay."

"You staying at ya auntie's house? Is there enough room for all of yall?" I asked.

"Nope. I'm sleeping on the couch man." He looked over at Ren. "By the way who's your friend?"

"This is my lil homie Ren from Kelly Park. So how is the couch life?" I asked.

"It's fucked man. Spinning records aint really paying the bills but hey everybody can't do what you do E." he said.

I thought about that. Dre had a point though, everybody can't slang dope. That life aint for everybody. Now I will say that it made me rich but I can't live this life forever.
