Calum's parents are so kind. They don't know about my life at home, but Calum talked to his parents and they are letting me stay over. Even though I told Calum that he didn't have to.

Later that night, I'm working on my homework. It's for English and we are suppose to write about friendship.

How am I suppose to write about this?
I have no friends except one, and they use to hurt me.

I stare and my paper. I have thrown out several papers aready cause nothing comes to mind.

Several minutes later something comes to my head.

Friendship: a relationship between friends. I believe that there are three types of friends in this world. Friends for a reason, friends for a season, and friends for a lifetime. My friendship circle is very small.  My life has gone through a lot of friendships. From a lot of people leaving to having no one to having someone.  In my life having a friend for a lifetime is hard to come by. I have had both friends for a reason and friends for a season, but never a lifetime.

I have to stop there because I get called down for dinner. I walk downstairs to see everyone at the dinner table, which I'm so not accustomed to. I sit down, and I'm given food.

"Thank you so much for the food and for letting me stay the night."

"No problem sweat heart. You can come by anytime. It's nice seeing Calum come home with someone else for once, rather than those boys" Calum mom says

"Mom"

"I just kidding honey. But I have to ask you something." Calum mom says

"Ok"

At this point I started getting nervous what if she asks about my parents.

"Ok... So are you and Calum dating" Calum's mom says.

I almost choke on my food.

"what, no we are just friends"

"Mom, please"

"Okay... If you say so"

After that the time is followed by silence.

"So um what are you parents like?"

I look over at Calum what do I say.

" ummm...."

"Her parents are great" Calum lies.

"Oh really"

"Yeah they're so sweat and kind" Calum says.

" then I hope I can meet them soon" says Calum's mom

" you can't unfortunately, because my parents went on a trip, for work and they won't be back for a while" I lie.

"Well that's to bad"

I finish eating and put my dishes in the sink.

"Do you need help cleaning up?" I ask

"No that okay honey"

"Okay"

I walk back to Calum's room and continue to work on my paper.
