Nalla had been the first to hear the alarm. But when Beth and Manny blocked the door she wasn't allowed in. Why had they rushed the baby away? what was that alarm? Where was Rhage? They hadn't heard anything and she was becoming nervous. Nothing normally scared her but this time it was different. Finally the alarm stopped and everyone sighed in releif. Jane breezed out of the room where Mary and Rhage were and she looked at them.
"Here is all I know. They survived the delivery. Mary is doing great but the babies on the other hand are not. They are too small and showing some signs of failure. The delivery doctor, whoever he is, is with them now until we can convert one of the rooms into a clean intensive care room. Please understand that the babies cannot have visitors at this time. We will update you more after Rhage and Mary have seen them. Now I need to go speak with this doctor." She said before she went into the room.

A doctor wearing a lab coat came in smelling if soap. He had just finished getting baby B, the girl, settled after that scare.
"Good work. Introduce me while giving me their status." She said with a smile, "I am Jane the primary doctor here."
"Baby A, is the biggest of the three. He weighed in at three pounds twelve ounces. His vitals are where I would expect. He seems to be the strongest of the three. Baby B, the girl, is the smallest. Weighs in at three pounds even and showing how weak she is. She's already stopped breathing and is now on oxy. She was sandwiched between the other two. She's also showing signs of heart issues as well." He said, "Baby C weighed in at three pounds five ounces. He is showing some signs of breathing issues so he too is on Oxy. His vitals are a little low like his sister's. I would like to monitor them if you don't mind. I'm a doctor who specializes is high risk pregnancies as well as premature babies as well as ill ones as well."
She looked up from the babies, "I think you have a deal. I've had no neonatal training. I'll be your secondary. But can I ask how you got here?"
"I am Butchs son. I'm Doctor Hunter."
"Pleasure. Can the parents come meet their children?"
"As long as they are clean and font touch them at this point. We need to get that clean room ready and some formula and feeding supplies."
The doctor nodded and left. He sighed in relief. So far the babies were alright. That was all that mattered. She returned with the parents as well as formula, and bottles. He helped the mother into a chair.
"I am Doctor Hunter Woodward. I will be caring for your children. Right now they are as stable as they can be. They face a long bumpy road ahead of them. I specialize in neonatal care as well as high risk pregnancies. Your children are going to be expected to reach certain milestones before we can release them into the household. They must weigh five pounds or more. They must be able to eat out of a bottle without issues, as well as pass several tests I will be giving them. I can't guarantee how long that will be. But for now I want to keep them in a clean room away from all infections and germs until they reach their milestones." He said.
" Can we stay with them?" His patient asked him.
"I don't see why not. I'll have someone look for cots. Can I get your names?" He asked.
"I am so sorry. I am Mary and this is my husband Rhage." Said his patient.
" Pleasure. We will need to work on a schedule for feedings. Check ups, as well as shifts." He said, "I will work this over with Jane and get it sorted. Have you picked names?"
"Not yet. We want to get to know them first." Rhage said, "Can we hold them?"
He shook his head, "Not at this point. Baby B had respiratory failure and in their fragile state of mind right now it's not recommended. You can talk to them. Just refrain from touching for a little while longer."
