Twenty-Two

Nalla heard the voices in the hall. It was well before dawn. Had someone gotten hurt. He rushed to the door. When she opened it she saw Hunter coming toward her. She smiled and ran to him. She kissed him and he hugged her tight to his chest.
"I told you I would come back." He said against her hair.
"Can we talk?" She asked him.
He went ridged, "Of course. Let's go in the bedroom. I'll meet with Wrath later."
She hoped he would want to talk with the king after what she had to say. She led him into his room and began to pace. He stripped off his weapons and jacket and turned to her.
"What's on your mind?" He asked her.
"Well. You know that my needing is over. Generally there is bleeding after if no pregnancy develops. Well I don't have bleeding. My uterine lining is thick and Jane can't see past it. My blood volume is high, blood cell count is high too. She took urine and is consulting Havers and she said she would let me know."
"What... What does this all mean?"
"I don't know. But I fear I may not be able to have children."
She watched him still. He didn't move and he didn't say anything. She stood there with tears forming at his reaction. Suddenly a tear escaped his eye and he dropped to his knees. He was silent as he pulled her onto his lap.
"I want to go with you. I want to know everything that they have
to say." He said softly.

"I will let you know when I know." She said as her phone rang. "Hello.... Jane?... What? How is it possible?... Your sure?" She smiled, " No I understand... Thanks... Bye."
"What was that?" He asked her.
She smiled, "It all makes sense. The dizziness... Everything."
"What? What is it?"
"Im... I'm pregnant."
His heart stopped. He just stared at her. Then it hit him. He jumped up and twirled her around and kissed her hard. He shouted with joy and hugged her tightly. The door burst open and his parents and the others came in.
"Whats all that racket? The babies are trying to nap." Asked Bianca.
"Well... I'm pregnant." He heard her announce.
Shouts of happiness filled his room. He turned to her and grabbed her hand. He smiled at her.
" Nalla, I love you. You've given me a gift I never imagined would happen this soon. I would be very happy if you'd marry me." He said staring at her.
She smiled up at him, "It would be an honor to be your wife."
The cheers continued until he felt dizzy.

The pain came again. She couldn't handle anymore. Her captors kept coming to give her more and more. She hated this time of day. They had brought in another male. A pretrans like she had been. She felt sick and was about to vomit when the captors had shut the door. She vomited and closed her eyes.
"Who... Who are you?" Asked the newcomer.
"Olivia, Daughter of Hhatred." She said between vomiting.

He fell to the floor weak from something. He heard shrieks but he couldn't see. He was so very tired.
"Hunter?" He heard Nalla ask.
"Nalla?" He asked squeezing her hand.
" What happened?" She damended.
"I need to take him to see Wrath in his study. Its a side effect of his power." Vishous said as he lifted him.
"Power?" She asked.
"Great just fucking great." He muttered before he was engolfed in black.
