It was her first time with the babies. She was nervous. Hunter kept assuring her that everything would be alright. The boys had eaten bottles and were asleep. But the girl seemed to have issues. She felt weird looking at the child. She seemed to be loosing weight. This worried her. She could tell that it worried Hunter. He kept examining the baby.
"Do you have access to an MRI? I think that's our next step. She's loosing weight." He asked her as he kept trying to feed the baby.
"Not that I am aware of. I can call Havers and see if he has one." She replied to him.
"Please, this baby isn't doing well. Something is wrong." He said quietly.
Nalla looked over her shoulder at Rhage and Mary who were asleep on their cot in the corner. She hoped that they didn't hear what was being said. She didn't understand what was going on. She left to make the phone call. She felt the tears begin to well up and she had to be calm before she made the call to Havers.

He was concerned about the baby and he knew he needed to talk with Mary and her husband about what would happen if she didnt get better. The chances of her survival were slipping away as she lost weight daily. The very thought worried him to the core.
"Good morning." He heard Mary say to him.
" Morning." Hunter replied, "Another successful night with the boys. They ate well and passed their physicals this morning."
"The girl?" Rhage asked him.
" Not so good. She's loosing weight. She isnt holding nutrients and hasn't had a bowel movement in three days. This is cause for concern as she could have a bowel blockage or Something else. I'm concerned that she hasn't gained weight and is no where near ready to try a bottle. I've sent Nalla to call Havers about an MRI machine and if he has one we should be able to tell what's going on. But the chances of her surviving are slipping at this rate. I want to prepare you for that possibility. I will try to prolong it as best as I can but its highly likely if we don't find what's wrong she won't make it." He said. "If she does have a blocked bowel or even a linked bowel, surgery will fix it. But in order to do the surgery, she will need to be healthier."
"How come she is going through this?" Asked Mary.
"I think that maybe she was starved in the womb. I think that maybe one of the boys was on her cord. I also think that your diet during the pregnancy didn't help much. How often did you eat? What type of things did you eat? Serving sizes? If you lacked enough nutrients it could have not been enough to split between all three babies."
"You mean I could have starved her?" Mary asked, "I ate five small meals a day. I ate as healthy as I could and I ate normal portion sizes. I never knew that there was more than one."
"That explains some. Lack of nutrients could be why the babies were so small. But right now the girl is..."
A loud alarm went off signaling something was wrong with the female child. He rushed to her and tried to get her breathing again. She was quickly turning blue and sent Rhage and Mary out into the hall and called for Jane. This was one time that he would need assistance.
