Twenty-One

Nalla laid on the bed with her shirt tucked under her bra and her jeans undone. She felt the warm goo on her stomach. Jane had the ultrasound wand in her hand.
"This is just going to check and see if there is any damage from your needing. This is just to give me a better idea as to what's going on." Jane explained as she placed the wand on her stomach. "Hmm... This is strange."
"Strange? How?" Nalla asked nervously.
"Your uterine lining is thick like it didn't shed." She said as she moved the wand a little more. "I can't see through it."
"What does that mean?" She asked Jane.
Jane put he wand up and handed her tissue, "Well possible pregnancy, could be something else. I'll call you with your urine results and I am going to consult with Havers. Don't worry I will figure this out."
"It not that, that has me worried. I'm worried about Marissa, Butch, or my parents to find out. Hell Hunter doesn't even know. I'm afraid to tell him because of how he took the news of my needing."
"I'll get it figured out." She rubbed her hand, "I promise you I will figure this out."

After Nalla left she paged Havers for a consult. She was worried that they wouldn't figure out what this was. As she sat there noting the findings in the file she had made for the mysterious woman. She jumped when her computer pinged with the results of the urine tests. She grabbed them as they printed and had to do a double take. Havers appeared beside her.
" You need a consult?" He asked her.
"I... Uh... Have this patient who just recently went through her needing unserviced and medicated. It's been almost two weeks and she isn't bleeding but had relations days after the symptoms of needing stopped. Her blood volume is high, cell count is elevated, and her uterine lining is thick and I can't see through. She's presenting with dizziness, nausea. She's gained a slight amount of weight and this is her urine test." She handed him the results.
"Oh dear. This is unheard of." He replied. "I need to see this patient."

Hunter walked out of the shower prepared for the evenings events. The brothers wanted to take him out on a patrol to see how well he could do after a few days of appearent needless training. He dressed in the leathers and black tank. He strapped on the many weapons and trench coat. He heard his door open and Nalla came in. His heart picked up its speed and he walked to her. He grabbed her face and kissed her.
"I'll be back before dawn." He told her.
" Oh. I need to talk to you. It can wait. I'll be sleeping in here tonight if that's alright." She said softly.
"Of course. Call or text me if you need me. I will come home as fast as I can." He kissed her forward. "I love you."
"I love you too. Be safe."
"I will."
He kissed her head and left. Something seemed off. He would do his best to be home well before dawn but he was worried. She didn't seem normal. She seemed stressed, worried, something and he wanted to know what was going on. When he reached the door he saw his father and Vishous with Zsadists twin Phury. They dematerialized from the house to down town Caldwell. His senses perked up and he felt as if his body was electrically charged. He followed his senses through the back streets and toward the heart of the city. The closer they got the more his body seemed to vibrate. He stopped to get his bearings and closed his eyes.

Swas tied to a chair. She was thrashing around in pain. Her body felt like it was being torn into pieces. Her throat burned and they forced her to drink that awful black liquid. She craved blood. Needed blood. The dead male beside her called to her with its fresh blood. She fought against the restraints as her captors left the room for a moment. She tried to use her strength to break the chains hit it didn't work. She was so hungry. A fresh wave of pain rushed through her body causing her to scream out in pain. Suddenly the world began to blur and her heart was racing. The world suddenly turned black.

He staggered back as he opened his eyes. Vishous, Phury, and his father all looked at him with concern.
"I... I think... I think I had a vision." He stammered.
"What kind?" Asked Phury.
He moved into the shadows, "A female vampire was strapped to a chair by the leaders, I assume. They forced her to drink foul black liquid that made her body feel as if it was being ripped apart. There was a second vampire. A male. He was dead."
"Okay, we need to talk to the Kings advisor to see if any of our kind has gone missing. This could be a break we have been waiting for." Vishous said, " But your fried. Let's call it a night and see what the advisor has to say."
