Chapter 3

I blush and unknowingly giggle. He smiles at my reaction.
"I know there's more to you..." He says once again.
"Well, i dont know, I can't really think about anything..." I say looking at the floor.
"No man in your life?" I bite my lip. Hmm. Is he hitting on me? No, he wouldn't do that...he's too professional.
"No...not anymore." I Say, hoping he would continue. I didn't enjoy talking about this, but it brought us closer, and for some odd reason, I wanted that.
"Not anymore?" He asks, sincerely.
"No, he was a cheater, but I found out to late."
"I'm sorry to hear that...what happened?" More detail? Woah! I didn't know break up stories were that interesting.
"We were on a date, and his real girlfriend ended up being there. I was so mad, I couldn't do anything I was so devastated. She was mad at me, not him I-" I find myself staring into the distance, I check to see if he's still listening. This is the longest elevator ride I've ever had.
"Continue..." He says showing off pearl teeth.
"We just broke up after that. I don't see him anymore..."
"How long ago was it?"
"About...a year?"
"Why didn't you kick his teeth for hurting you?" Awe. That's cute...where's Mr.Business now?
"I'm not good at defending myself I guess...pretty helpless when your heartbroken."
"I agree."
"Your in the same boat?"
"I was, but I'm over her."
"What happened?" I ask. Oops. That just kinda fell out.
"Well, we just didn't get along. I felt like she didn't love me as much as I loved her. I would have given anything to just see her smile, but, that wasn't enough." Was she a goldigger? Only wanting him for his money? So many questions for this goddess standing in front of me.
"I'm so sorry..." He must have really loved her. The elevator rang and I jumped. I seen him smirk even though he was looking at his feet. I smile at him.
"Thanks again Ryan. Glad your here..." I said, as I walked towards the lobby. I made it out the doors and felt the cool air. I walked to my car and got in.
