"So what do ya think?" Gracie stared at me with her mouth gaped.
"Your kidding!" She whisper yelled in the lobby. I just told her about my plan to go to the bar to meet some singles. Our lower receptionist glared at us behind thin black wired glasses. Her red lips were covered by her finger a second later hushing us.
"Excuse Me? I own this building.." I said. I own 40% that's enough.
"Ooh feisty huu?" My heart was In my throat. Woah.
"I guess." I said. I turned to Gracie, but she was making Googly eyes at Ryan. I smiled at him and grabbed Gracie by her elbow, walking into the elevator.
"Stop!" I said half kiddingly.
"I can't!" I took one last glance at Ryan before the elevator closed. Damn he looked good.
"Why does he look like that?"
"Like what? The next Channing?" I said. She nearly drooled.
"Yes!"
"Ok, Gracie for real calm down..." I said. She nodded and walked to her office, we arrive at work at the same time each day.
"Amber?" Just before I say at my desk, my boss walked in...the real boss who owned 100% of the building.
"Yes?"
"Can I see you for one second?" I had a worried look on my face.
"Your not in trouble." He laughed, fixing his brown suit. Ew. Mr.Collin was the opposite of Ryan, aka perfection. He was bald and had big eyes and brows. I followed him out of my office and into his. I sat down in the velvet chair. We sat in silence for some time. I fixed my skirt and managed to count how many wrinkles were on his forehead 3 times before he started talking...but not to me.
"Hey! Ryan!" He said getting up and putting a smile on his face. Ryan walked through the door and say next to me. Giving me a sexy smile. Oh. Maybe it wasn't intend to be sexy, just normal? Hmm.
"So...mr.Collins, why are we here?" I asked finally.
"Well, it turns out, Ryan here had a request." I raise an eyebrow.
"What is it?" I ask.
"I'm not good with computers."
"And...?"
"I want you to help me. Show me the roots..."
