By the end of the week, we surprisingly did really good in not touching or making out in the bathroom. We had kept it all together. That's why I was excited for Friday. Today. I was sure since we could only look at each other from our desks, that the love would for sure pop. I drove home and pulled into my driveway. I called Gracie. It rang 4 times and then went to her voicemail.
"Hello, you have reached Gracie. I am unable to get to my phone right now, just leave your name and I will try to call back. Thanks!" I groaned.
"Hey it's me Amber, just letting you know I'm going on the date with Ryan today! Really excited! I'll send you a picture of what I'm wearing. Call me back thanks!" I hung up and opened my door. I sat my stuff on the couch and started getting ready. I took a whole new shower so I could have fresh makeup and smelt good. I dried my hair and curled it. Then, I put on a nice face up of makeup. Thankfully I had good brands because it came out amazing I thought. I was putting on an olive green dress. With my nails painted the same color and black shoes. I grabbed my purse and sat at the couch. I waited and waited for even a text from Gracie. Where was she? I looked again and there were no missed calls. But there was a text from Ryan.
"Hey baby, can't wait to see you. I'm looking forward to hearing your laugh and seeing your smile. How was your day at work?"
"Thanks babe. I miss you too! I can't wait to see you either 😉. My day was good. How was yours?"
I replied. Within a few minutes, he replied.
"Great now that I get to see you. I'm on my way babe. See you in ten." My stomach jumped and I got really excited. Maybe I did love Ryan. Maybe I really should tell him that back. He hasn't said it to me yet, but I get the idea. As I was thinking to myself, the doorbell rang.
