I made it home and called my parents.
"Hello?"
"Hi mom..."
"Oh Amber! It's been a while! How's the life treating you?"
"Not bad, that's kinda what I wanted to talk about." Mom hasn't heard anything about a relationship since my ex. I could already see her reaction when I told her about Ryan.
"Well I'm all ears! Dads watching the game, let me sit on the porch." I heard the door squeal open and the creaking rocking chair start rocking.
"What's the fizz?" She asked.
"Well, I have another man in my life..."
"You do? Sweetie...how is he?" I laughed and emailed a picture of him from his business card.
"Oh wow. Amber, he's...is he a Calvin Klein model?"
"No mom, he works for Xell. He works with me..."
"Who made the move?"
"He did. We both kinda had that feeling about each other but, he was brave enough to say something..."
"Oh...is he perfect?"
"In all honesty yes. He's flawless. But I feel like he takes things really fast. I was almost nervous we were gonna...well, you know, in the office. He's moving kind of fast..."
"Awe sweetie. I wish I could help more. All I can say is, you know yourself better than anybody else does. You know when it's time to speed up and slow down. Just be careful, and listen to your gut. It knows more than you think." I inhaled and exhaled. Feeling much better.
"Thanks mom...I love you..."
"I love you more." And we hung up.

Just before falling into my bed, I texted Ryan, so he didn't let the feeling eat him alive.
"Everything's fine babe, I just want to be by myself today. I feel like things are moving a little fast...I'm sorry..."
Within minutes he replied.
"Im just glad you texted back, babe I'm sorry. You're everything I ever wanted and sometimes I just can't have you. I need to accept that. I really am sorry. I want this relationship to be stable, and we both are happy. I love you, and I will see your beautiful face tomorrow. Once again, please forgive me."
I wasn't planning on being mad forever, but his text made me glad I didn't.
"I love you too, and were good now."
