Chapter 9 - Graduation

Bella was graduating today, her hand was still bandaged up still from the day she punched Jacob in the face for kissing her the night of the bonfire, in doing so she had badly sprained her wrist. Somehow Jake was still allowed to go her graduation, I suppose she didn't wasn't Charlie suspecting anything was wrong. I was getting along with Bella, her dad happy she had friends other than the Cullen's, I was a friend who Edward trusted seeing as I didn't transform into a huge wolf, I was a normal, fragile human just like Bella. I suppose you could say I got on with Edward now, I got to know him more and I realized he only wanted what was best for Bella, that's why he left. Harry was with Leah and Embry so he wouldn't disrupt the ceremony, Charlie spent a lot of time with mom now, he had helped mom a lot after dad's death, eventually something will happen between them, i would be happy for them, mom deserves happiness in her life and so does Charlie, he's been alone for so long.
I wish my dad could be here to see Leah so happy with Embry, Seth being so happy to me a wolf and also to see Harry grow but it wasn't meant to be, I know he's always with me watching over us. I was pulled out my thoughts when the ceremony started with the valedictorian's speech eventually Bella's name was called Jake and Charlie both jumped up cheering, she really was loved, and she had two guys fighting over her. If that isn't proof she's gorgeous I don't know what is.

Once the ceremony had ended Bella made her way over to us hugging us all thanking us for coming "Where's Harry?" Bella asked, she always loved to see him when I always brought him to Charlie's when I was either dropping mom off or picking her up from Charlie's. "He's with Leah and Embry they wanted to take him to the beach and I didn't want him causing a scene here" I replied with a smile, "Are you coming to the party Alice has planned?" Bella asked a hint of hope in her voice, "I've no baby sitter for Harry so I can't Bells, I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway. Congratulations on graduating. You too Edward" I replied. We stayed chatting to Charlie, Bella and Edward for a while before Jake had to leave for patrol, so we said our goodbyes to everyone. Bella and myself arranging for a girl's night one day soon, making Charlie happy about the separation from Edward, he tolerated him now knowing there was no way of splitting them up.

Once in the car I text Leah to meet us at Jake's so then I could get Harry before her, Embry and Jake went on patrol, the patrols had been stepped up lately they were all doing double shifts so all the wolves were hardly sleeping which I wasn't happy about, they need their sleep.

"Mia, do you know how to work this thing? Rachel wants to video call me and I have no idea how. Jake normally sorts it out for me" Billy said getting slightly frustrated, I set it up for him teaching him how to do it so he could skype his daughters when Jake wasn't here for which he was extremely thankful for. I loved Billy, he was like a second dad to me he really helped me when my dad died, he had been through it when the girls and Jake lost Sarah. I left Billy alone in the lounge so he could skype his daughter in private so took Harry and his favorite wolf teddy into Jake's room, he was such a happy child. He loved Paul's wolf to death if anyone apart from Paul took it away from him he would scream and cry until they gave it him back, he really did adore his uncle Pauly, it took me by surprise how Paul was with him. He would visit him every day in the hospital, Paul wasn't just the hot head everyone thought he was. He was kind, sensitive and caring. He had a big heart but only chose to show it to certain people, he had these walls built up around him which he would only bring down when he was around me and Harry so far, he had been my best friend for so long I always knew he had this side to him, I knew what made him tick, what made him happy, what his favorite things were, I knew everything about him just like he knew everything about me.

"Mia come here, Rachel wants to see you and Harry" Billy shouted. Picking Harry up, he was getting a right chunk now I walked into the lounge sitting next to Billy "Hey, Mia and there's my little nephew he's so cute... yes he is" Rachel says slowly trailing into a baby voice, "Hey auntie Rebecca" I reply waving Harry's cute chubby little arm as he smiles at her giggling. "GUESS WHAT!" Rebecca starts giddily. "I'm coming back to La Push, I think I can finally face it again" she all but screams. "Oh. My. God. WHEN!!" I reply just as excited as her "in a month, do not tell Jake I want it to be a surprise. I can't wait to meet my nephew he's getting so big Mia what have you been feeding him?" I missed her so much I couldn't wait to have my best friend back, "blame your brother for that Rach, he's like his daddy loves his food" I reply.

I ended up speaking to Rachel for well over 3 hours, Billy had left us to it coming back to say bye when she was ending the call. Billy was over the moon that she was coming home, he had just received a phone call saying there was a meeting at Sam's and everyone needed to be there so I drove myself Billy and Harry over to Sam's to see what the urgency was all about. Jake was the first to speak "at the graduation party the pixie leech had a vision that there is a newborn army coming here to kill Bella, I have said that we will fight. We have to protect her and our land. There will be training tomorrow 4 pm at the clearing between the borders, the leech who looks like he is in pain has knowledge of newborn leeches." As he finished the whole pack started shouting, I couldn't understand what they were saying there was too much being said at once "QUIET!" Sam boomed his alpha tone coming out, "Jacob you should not have volunteered us to fight before firstly consulting us, but we will fight. We have to protect our land. Our people will not be killed." Sam finished, that's when I stood up walking into the kitchen Leah and Emily following me. "What's wrong Mia?" Emily questioned. "I can't lose someone else, they are going to get themselves killed, they don't even care what we think about it" I cried, "Mia. We are made to kill vampires we will be fine." Leah tried to reassure me but there was doubt in her voice, "you can't be certain Leah, I'm with Mia on this one" Emily agreed with me.

The whole pack turned out to be excited about the fight due to the fact they got to 'kill some vampires' however Emily, Kim, mom and I were not too happy, we were, let's say very protective over our boys and Leah. We were scared now. I don't want to think what we will be like the day of the battle. Walking back into all the boys they were all lounging round either playing some game on the Xbox I don't have a clue and don't really want to know it does not interest me one bit, the others just watching. Paul was playing with Harry the only person I couldn't find was Jake, recently he hasn't been spending time with his son, Paul spends more time with him than Jake "Where has Jake gone?" I asked Paul, he smiled sadly "with the leech lover" he said, I should have known he was with Bella, he basically worships the ground she walks on. "He never spends any time with his Son anymore Pauly I don't know what to do, I don't want to say anything because I know he will get angry but if this is how it is going to be for the rest of Harry's life then he has a choice of either being in his life or not. He can't keep picking and choosing when he wants to be there" I told Paul letting him know how I felt, Paul was like another brother to me I could tell him more stuff than I could tell Seth obviously because Paul was older and understood this stuff more but also Paul won't be biased when it comes to Jake, Seth really looks up to Jake. He always had. "I'm going to take Harry home, I'm not feeling great I'll see you all later" I said to everyone "Harry can stay here, go upstairs in the spare room and sleep ill make you some chicken soup for later and I'm not taking no for an answer Mia" Emily more or less ordered, she really looked after me. Standing up my legs gave way Embry only just catching me before I fell, I felt so weak so Paul ended up carrying me upstairs putting me on the bed giving me a worried look before closing the door behind him.

I woke to see it was light outside reaching for my phone off the dresser I saw that it was now 10:30 am the next day, I had slept for well over twelve hours. My first thought was Harry, had someone taken him home? Was he still here at Emily's and Sam's so I tried to get out of bed however my legs ended up giving in on me again I didn't know what was wrong with me. The next thing I heard was people running upstairs, Sam, Paul and Seth ran in seeing me on the floor Paul and Sam helped me back onto the be Seth looked really worried so he came and sat next to me giving me a cuddle "where's Harry?" I questioned wanting to know where my son was, "he's okay Mia, Emily has taken him to Walmart with her, Leah and Embry stayed with him at yours last night nobody wanted to wake you, you looked so ill. You still do, I'm calling Dr Leech" Sam told me before going finding his phone without giving me a chance to respond, when Dr Cullen came he did numerous tests and said he would be back within an hour with his results.

An hour later Dr Cullen had returned I had been placed on bed rest until after the battle, it was mainly stress and anxiety related however my blood sugar was low he realized recently I hadn't been eating properly and was slowly on the route to anorexia unless I started eating more, I hadn't realized I wasn't eating much so Sam had told me that me and Harry were staying with him an Emily until after the battle as the stress my body was under from not eating properly was taking its toll. When Emily came back she told me off until I told her that I wasn't doing it intentionally, everything that had happened within the last year and a half had been the underlying cause and it was mainly psychological so all the lads had gone getting some of our stuff I was grateful towards Em and Sam for letting me stay with them, I just hoped I wasn't a burden on them.
