Chapter 17 - Home Time

"Good morning beautiful" Jake said to me as I opened my eyes, his voice husky making him sound even more sexier than usual, "good morning Jakey" I replied half asleep, "do you remember last night Mills?" Jake questioned, "Jake, of course I do, how could I forget it, did you mean what you said last night, do you really love me?" I asked unable to look at him worried about the rejection he was about to give me, "Mills look at me...I love you and I mean that I was just too stupid to see it before, I want you in my life as more than a friend and more than just Harry's mom, I want you to be mine" he said looking into my eyes before kissing me. A knock at the door broke us apart Jake getting up to answer it "Sam wants to see you Jake, can I speak to Mia please" the person at the door said who sounded like Leah, Jake came and grabbed some shorts, kissing my head before he passed me his t-shirt allowing me to put it on before he went back to the door to leave, letting Leah and Rachel in who jumped straight onto me. "You need gagging or learn to be quiet, I heard everything you got up to last night and let's just say your younger sister does not want to hear that coming from her sister" Leah said trying not to laugh, Rachel nodding her head, "sorry, but he told me he loves me, he feels the same" I said unable to stop the smile growing on my face, "but please tell everyone to keep this between us who are here, I don't want the pack or everyone else finding out yet," I finished both of them nodding, Leah and Embry were the only ones who had heard, but Leah had told Rachel so only the three of them knew, Paul, Sam, Emily, Jared and Emily were not to know

"We are going for breakfast if you both want to join us, Paul and Embry," Rachel said "thanks for the offer Rach but we are going getting Harry" I said to Rachel, they nodded walking out, as soon as they walked out Jake walked back in picking me up "I love you Mills, I can't wait for the day we are official to everyone" Jake said to me kissing my cheek before putting me back down so I could get changed and get home to our baby boy, I threw on my jeans and one of Jake's old t-shirts, one of the many I stole from him and then began throwing the rest of the stuff I had back in my back until everything was packed, "ready Jakey?" I asked looking at him lied on the bed watching me intently "yeah, babe come here" he replied standing up as I came closer he stretched out his arms to hug me whilst also bending down so he could give me a quick kiss before taking the bag of our stuff off me leading me towards reception so we could check out.

We made general chit chat as we made our way back towards home I'm glad it wasn't awkward with him, we were both really comfortable with one another despite everything that has happened, it wasn't long before we had pulled up at Charlie's house, the cruiser on the driveway but also Edward's Volvo indicating that Bella, Edward, Nessie and Seth were also here. We didn't even have to knock on the door seeing as Edward opened it with a smirk obviously he knew what had happened last night, as soon as I thought that he nodded before saying "you can smell it too." I just carried on walking to the lounge where I could hear Harry laughing "mama, dada" he said as soon as he saw us crawling towards me and Jake who picked him up with ease, "hey baby boy, did you have a fun time and grandma and gramps house" I cooed at him, he really was growing up looking more and more like Jake each day, "did you just refer to me as gramps?" Charlie questioned I simply just nodded my head which made him come over and hug me "I'll never replace your father, you know that right?" Charlie said to me, "of course I know that Charlie, but you've always been in my life and you're taking care of my mom that's all I can ask if she is happy and Harry loves you. By the way Happy New Year Everyone" I said making him smile before he went back to mom everyone replying with a Happy New Year back, "have a good night?" mom asked me and Jake, "yeah it was good to get out for a change" I replied not wanting her to know what really went on, looking round I saw Edward sat with Bella on the sofa talking between themselves and Ness sat with Seth playing the game I had gotten her for Christmas, "we best get going I have to check on Collin, thank you for looking after him I hope he wasn't too much trouble" I said to mom and Charlie, "he was no trouble at all, he was as good as gold he always is" mom said coming to hug me before we left.

Getting back in the car, Jake fastened Harry into his booster seat before taking his seat in the front starting the engine before heading to La Push, "shall we cook breakfast at home and order a take away tonight and go out some other time so we can have a proper family night, you, me, Harry and Collin, I'd like it if we told him about us though Mills" Jake said slightly taking his eyes off the road, "Jake that sounds perfect to me, yeah I'd like to tell him, me and my boys tonight, maybe we can rent a film too once Harry's asleep" I suggested as we pulled up to Brady's house, I got out the car and went to knock on the door, Jake remaining in the car with Harry. "Hey Julie, is Collin still here" I asked as Brady's mom answered the door, "yeah, come in they're in the lounge" she replied, I followed her into the lounge "Collin, Mia's here for you" she said towards the boys, "thanks for having me last night Julie" he said like the well-mannered boy he is, "you're always welcome here Collin, you're a good kid" she said before walking into the kitchen, Brady and Collin did their man hug thing they always do before saying they would see each other on patrol tomorrow morning before we left getting in the car.

As soon as we got back to the house it started raining, Collin had brought our bags in and Jake had brought Harry in, I had put the kettle on to make us a drink when Jake sat Collin down to tell him about us, "I don't want you to get angry about this Collin but me and Mia are basically together" Jake paused seeing his reaction "ARE YOU SERIOUS?! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS EVER" Collin said excitedly, "I'm glad you're happy about it Collin but can you keep this between us for now we just want to get sorted before everyone knows" I said placing a drink in front of Jake and him, he nodded before getting up to hug me. "Have you had breakfast? Also we are having take-out tonight you choose what we have," I said to Collin, "yeah, ive had breakfast I'll go play with Harry, Chinese by the way" he shouted back to us as he left the kitchen. "So...that went well" Jake said pulling me onto his lap, "what do you want for breakfast?" I asked turning to face him, "I don't want you cooking so just shove something in the over babe, I want to cuddle with you" Jake pouted to which I just kissed before putting some hash browns in the oven and a pan of baked beans before joining Jake on the couch.

We spent the rest of the day as a family, playing with Harry, watching television and talking to each other, that was the night Harry took his first step, he had used to sofa to stand up then started to walk towards Collin I started crying just because of how proud I was of him, I couldn't of thought of a better start to the New Year than spending it with my three boys. The Chinese had come not long after we had put Harry down to sleep, the lads had ordered enough food to feed three families, there was duck pancakes, ribs, chicken wings, soup, spring rolls, 10 main meal dishes, a few portions of rice and chips, sauces and then a few packets of prawn crackers, I could hardly finish my meal I don't know how they managed to finish all the food off but they did, "mom, can we watch Star Trek" Collin asked me, "YES! Of course we can, I love that film" I said so fast a normal human would not understand which made my boys chuckle. Towards the end of the film I was starting to get tired, I had my head on Jakes lap and my feet in Collin's, Jake was playing with my hair which was making me sleepier, next thing I remembered was being carried to my room by Jake, once he placed me down on the bed he was starting to leave, "Jake, wait... stay with me please" I sleepily managed to say, "of course beautiful" he said climbing into bed pulling me close to him before sleep took over us both.
