The phone fell from his grasp and I caught it between our bodies that were pressed together.

"Rose." I questioned and he shook his head slowly. He was in emotional shock and I felt helpless. I'm not used to these situations. My mother finally opening up about her having cancer has forever changed my life, Katie's as well. My career is laying low right now. I'm at peace with life, but things just keep knocking me upside my head.

I grasped his cheek making him face me. His frosty blue eyes looking duller by the second.

"Look at me. You can get through this. I'm here for you." I said taking a strong hold of his hand.

"We have to go." He spoke softly, loosing my hand from his. That hurt more than the look on his face. "No, we aren't getting on that plane. You should stay to help decide about her home-going." I said to him and he shook his head at me.

"No, I will not bury the only person that meant a little ounce of something to me. This is killing me. Don't make me stay here." He said to me and I almost cried. Hold it together, Blu. Stay strong for him.

"I'm sorry, but I have to make you. You won't be able to live with the fact you didn't get to tell her goodbye one last time, baby. Trust me on this." I said leading him out of the airport. He just let me drag him. I placed him back in the limo. He was so lifeless, nothing like the silly guy he was just hours ago.

"Matthew, listen. You can get through this, but please try to hold it together for everyone's sake. If you cry I swear to God I'll be in hysterics." I said and he nodded his head. I turned to face him. His face pale like snow. I kissed his cheek, I felt a patch of wetness glide along the bridge of my nose. Tears were escaping his eyes.

Matthew was shedding a tear.

I hugged him tight. I can't even imagine losing my mother. His grandmother was like his mother. If I lost my mom, no matter how big of a pain she is. I'd be a total wreck, forever.

"Babe, tell me where to take you." I asked and he spoke a few words. A address to be specific.

We pulled up outside one of the nicest houses I'd ever seen. It was a second next to mine.

"Matthew, where are we?" I asked lifting my head from his shoulder. His arm fell from around my waist as I sat up to get a better look.

"Her house." He said stepping out the limo. I grabbed our bags. "You always made fun of me for being rich. Look at this, mister." I said and he ruffled his hair, a sign I'd seen so many times.

"It's not mine, it's hers. She always asked me to move in when I was young. My parents never allowed it, but I snuck out to visit it. I worked for everything when I got to America. I'm not rich." He replied and I sighed. That's almost the most open he's been with me without me asking.

"Please smile. You're scaring me with your gloomy state." I said as he found the key and let us in.

"My grandmother just died, Blu. You can't ask me to be happy. You asked me not to cry and I'm not a bitch, so I wouldn't do it anyways, but damn. You want me to smile and put on a show. Show you around her house. Her nice house, she'll never see again." He said and I instantly felt bad.

"That was inconsiderate of me. I'm sorry." I replied and he pulled me close to hug me.

"No, stop saying sorry. I'm being a dick to you. I'm just shocked. I don't believe she's really gone." He said to me as I embraced his waist.
