"Whoo!" Matthew yelled as he and everyone in the crowd jumped up to cheer as their team scored a goal. He was so happy and he had been since we got here 3 days ago. "Baby, we just scored! It's tied and we're about to take it home." He said as the crowd died down and sat down again. "That's really good baby." I said back just smiling at him. "What?" He asked as he cocked his head. "You're smiling?"

"Yeah, because I'm really happy to see you this way." I said and he grabbed my hand. "I know what today is and I'm here for you. If you want to cry, you have my shoulder...if you want to get drunk, I'll be right there with you, if you just simply want to talk, we're out of here when ever you say." He said and I leaned over to kiss him. "You being so intrigued in the game as kept me preoccupied and smiling, so just have a good time...don't worry about me." I said to him and he shook his head.

"It's not that easy, but I'll do my best pretty girl." He shot back as his team scored again and up the crowd went and this time I stood up too and lifted my arms in uproar with the million other fans around me. Matthew smiled up at me before joining me in cheering. We started to just relax and mess with people around us. I'd tap a man's shoulder and he'd tap another and they'd look at each other pissed off and it was the funniest thing.

Matthew squeezed my leg in the last seconds of the game. "Baby, we score and it's our game." He spoke nervously. I leaned over to hide behind his shoulder with the fact I was now just as interested and if we lost I'd probably be more upset than him. The stands were dead silent. I could literally here my heart thumping when a man yelped so loud with the million others to follow.

"Shit, baby we just won!" Matthew yelled, pulling me in for a sweet kiss. "I love you!" He said as we jumped up to cheer with everyone. We frantically caught championship shirts as they threw a few into the crowd.

"That was the best game all season. I don't think it would've been nearly as awesome if we were at home right now." He said to me as we rode back to the hotel. "You don't want to go out partying since your team just won?" I asked and he shook his head. "Nope, I want to spend the night with you." He said to me sweetly.

"My mom truly loved you and at the time I knew I loved you, but you were still so sheltered with your feelings, so when she would say he's your guy. I never knew for sure, but now I know my mom was right about one thing, you and you're the best thing for me. I have no doubt she's watching me right now and smiling at the fact I haven't shed one tear today and it's do to the fact I'm with you." I said and he shook his head.

"You know you can cry though, right?" He said and I laughed. "Yes, but I'm not going to I swear you can stop sweating." I said to him and he laughed.

"I've just been waiting because...I don't know. I think we should do something in her memory." He said to me and I smiled.

"I like that idea." In less than hour we had balloons and we just stood outside on the beach that was close by.

"I love you and miss you more than ever right now." I spoke softly as I let them go. I turned as a tear fell and ran right into Matthew's chest. He kissed my forehead and held me tight as the balloons floated in the sunset. "You know she's still in your heart." He said to me and I shook my head.

"Always." I said sighing as we headed towards our hotel room. He shut the door behind us and I instantly went to shower off the day. He got in right after me and we ended up on the little sofa cuddling and watching a movie.
