Not Again

The next morning all I could hear were loud noises or more like annoying male voices trying to wake me up. I tried to ignore them and go back to sleep but they weren't gong to have it. The next thing that I knew was that I was being jumped on my two full grown boys and let me tell you that is not a pretty wake up call. "Okay okay I'm up knock it off!" I screamed. "Well we didn't want you to be late for school. Happy Monday!!!" Steve yelled at the top of his lungs. I know boys can get pretty loud but I think Steve broke the record for the loudest voice either that or he's tied with Two-Bit. After they left I got up and got dressed. I had a white tank top and dark skinny jeans. I pulled on my teal converse on and looked in the mirror. 'What am I supposed to do with a birds nest.' I thought. I picked up my brush and did what I could with my hair but I eventually gave up. After I was done and my hair in a messy bun and I went downstairs. "Don't you have have a shirt to wear over that?" Asked Darry. "Nope." I said popping the p. "Awe that's to bad because I do." said Soda throwing a blue flannel shirt my way. "Thanks I guess." I said as I pulled on Soda's shirt. "Your welcome. Hey has anyone seen my hat?" Asked Soda. "I'm leaving Soda you better hurry up. C'mon Steve, bye y'all." Darry said then he stuck his head back in the doorway. "You and Pony better get to school or you'll be late." Said Darry then Soda came by in a blur. "Bye you two and behave today." Said Soda as he went out the door. "Pony we better get going." I said looking at my brother. "Yeah okay." Pony mumbled.

In all honesty I thought about bringing up skipping school but last time when we did we accidentally ran into Darry and he wasn't very happy. The time before that one of our teachers Ms.Deanna Bell and she asked if we were sick. Darry covered for us there then when he got home he chew us out. So I'm not really in the mood for getting in trouble again any time soon. Before I knew it we were in front of the school. "Have a good day sis." Pony said. I just gave a poilte nod and started walking to my first period class which happened to be math. The only thing I didn't like was that the whole class was socs and I was corned and by myself. I went to my seat in the back of the class. I saw a foot in the ally way a little to late and the next thing I knew my face hit the floor. My books had fell out of my hands and papers were scattered everywhere. "Grease you better watch it. You almost scuffed up my new shoes." Said Richard. Richard was a red headed jock and picks on me costantly. Kinda like I'm his main target. "I'm sorry my feet were in your way. Would you like me to start flying." I said sarcastically. "You little -" Richard started but was cut off by the teacher. "Richard sit down and leave the poor girl alone. She probably has enough problems without you adding on." Said Mr.Rhodes. I sat in the back and gave him a thank you look. He just nodded his head and started class. Richard turned around and mouthed 'your dead'. "Mr.Richard do I need to tell you again leave her alone. But I'll need to see you after class." Mr.Rhodes said looking at Richard and is posse.

After class I ran straight to my second period. It went on like that all day until I got to my last class of the day 7th period gym. Everyday our teacher is too tired to even put up with us so he let's us leave as soon as he gets attendance. I don't leave I usually go down to the track and run. When I got down to the track I had a surprise waiting for me. In the stands were Soda,Steve and Two-Bit. "Hey there she is!" Two-Bit yelled. They all started waving. I waved back and went to the locker rooms and changed. When I got back out they were sitting a couple benches closer. So I walked over to the fence and handed them my stuff. "What are yall doing here?" I asked."Well we figured we would watch you run today." said Steve. I looked to the other two and they just nodded their heads. "Okay then." I said and walking to the starting point. "On your mark! Get ready! Set GO!" Two-Bit yelled for me and I took of running. I had just finished my 2nd lap when I had a gut feeling that something bad was fixing to happen. I looked to the opening of the track and there was Richard and his posse. 'Crap what am I supposed to do now.Well i should be okay the guys are here.' I thought and looked to the stands and they were gone. 'Double crap where did the heck they go.' I was beginning to get scared and started to freak out. Richard and his posse just waved and pretended to be stretching. The thing is I knew if I stopped running I would hit the ground and if I kept running the track they would run after me. So I decided to run like a bear was trying to eat me and I jumped a gate that was close to the ground and sprinted back towards the school. I heard running footsteps behind me and I took a chance to glance back. It was Richard and his boys, they were gaining on me. I reached the school and headed towards the parking lot. I turned the corner and almost knocked someone to the ground but when I dodged I lost my adrenaline to run and collapsed. "Woah. Are you okay." Someone said as they caught me. I looked up to realize that it was Soda. I looked over to see Steve and Two-Bit. All three of them had worried faces. "Yeah I'm okay." I managed to get out before I had the urge to hurl my guts out. I ran to the garbage can and spilled everything. "Easy now." I heard Steve say behind me. Soda was holding my hair back and rubbing circles on my back. Once I was done I heard laughter and group of guys were walking by. I shot up out of Soda's grasp and started for the parking lot but Steve managed to grab me before I could go very far. Then they stared asking me what was going on smothering me in questions until a girl walked up "I'm sorry to interrupt your umm chat but do you know a Darry Curtis?" She asked
