"Hey! Can I help?"
Lumapit si Levi sa kinaroroonan ko. I'm here in the kitchen with my sisters and this annoying kid baking cake while they are just watching.
"Uhm, anong gagawin ko?" Sabi niya habang pinipisil ang plastic ng baking powder.
Kumuha ako ng isang itlog mula sa tray at ibinigay kay Levi.
"Separate the egg yolk from the egg white"
She looked at the egg strangely like she's trying to figure out how she can do what I've said.
"Oh, it's my first time to do this but, who cares? That's why I'm here." She said positively
Tch. That's her often line. She exciting break the egg with her own hands and put it directly to the bowl with the shells. Ugh. I shouldn't have let her do it.
"Done. I never thought it's this gross." She said happily like she have done an achievement but unfortunately, what she have done is a mistake.
"Ate! Bakit mo sinama ang egg shell?!"
Gulat na lumapit sa amin ang kambal at tiningnan ang bowl na pinaglagyan niya ng itlog.
"Huh?" She asked innocently
"Kapag nanonood kaming magluto si Ate o yung cook, hindi naman nila sinasama yung shell eh. Tsaka pano mo maihihiwalay yang egg yolk sa egg white kung basag na?" Naka kamot-ulong pagtatama ni Aubrey
"Eh? You're right. Oh come on! I'm just a first timer here so you can't expect me to do it perfectly right away. She haven't even thought me how." Pagmamaktol ni Levi like she's pointing me the mistake she have done.
"Go back to your seat, lady. I'll just do it myself." I said calmly
"What?! But I want to try it, too!" She protested.
"Uhmm, Ate Caisley's right. Ayoko ko rin namang kumain ng egg shell." Aubrey said and bit her lips
"I second the motion? Hehehe." Sang-ayon ni Elie nang nakakamot sa ulo.
"Fine! Tss. Such kj! I just want to try it for I also wanna make a homemade cake for my crush. Excited pa naman akong matuto but you end my excitement blank lady. Psh!" She get back to her seat earlier with my sisters wearing poker face.
"Then I recommend you to join a cooking class, ate." I heard Aubrey said.
"I second the motion. Hehehe."
"Anong trip mo ngayon, sis? Puro ka second the motion eh."
"Uhm.. I second the motion? Hehehe."
I just shake my head and just get back from what I'm doing earlier. Pinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pinagawa ko kanina kay Levi. I get another egg and separated the yolk. After mixing all the ingredients, I put it in the oven and set the time. I washed my hands and decided to walk towards them.
"Is it done?" Levi said and immediately run to the oven and before she could touch it, I immediately run to her and grabbed her hand. Shit.
"Damn, Levi! It's a hot surface!" I shouted at her.
She looked at me innocently then I get my hand from her.
"I'm... sorry. Look, I... I just thought it was done. My mom don't want me to cook that's why, I don't know anything about kitchen works." She said nearly crying
Sigh.
"Just let me do my work, alright? Go to the living room and bring my sisters."
Sumunod siya kaagad sa iniutos ko.
