Chapter 20 - He looks like him

I cuddled on my bed and feel its softness. A memory snap inside my mind. Was it a dream? Kasi kung panaginip yun, I'm not here on my bed sleeping comfortably. Masyado ko lang sigurong iniisip yung lalaking nakaitim. And Sean.

That's when I realized that we still have a class so I shouldn't be comfortable here. I immediately opened my eyes and bumped my eyebrows.

"Good morning"

Fuck.

"Where am I?! Or rather, we?!" I said as I toured my eyes with dismay when I realized that I'm not my room and it wasn't a dream.

"At my place. Well, not MY PLACE, basically. Just my condo."

Umalis agad yung demonyo sa harap ko at lumabas ng pinto like nothing happened.

I never bothered to check my clothes like some pathetic movie scenes thinking something happened. I'll know if I'm still wearing my clothes or rather, school uniform for I'm ONLY comfortable with it.

I rushed up and saw my shoes on the ground so I wear it. Lumapit agad ako sa pinto at hinawakan ang doorknob.

Lock.

"Great" I said with disgust.

Pumikit ako at pilit na pinakalma ang sarili ko. Now, what? What did I expected? Atleast, I'm not lying on a cold ground of an abandoned building. Natatakot siguro syang kaya kong makawala kung dun nya lang ako itatali.

I looked at the door that's made up of a hard wood. I'm thinking if I could kick this door but based on my conclusion, it won't work. Now, what will I do? Of course, I'll just hang here and wait. I also left my phone in my car.

Wait, fuck! My car! I left my car! Why am I so stupid to get out of my car and front Norwood with bare hands! Fuck! Stupid! Damn myself!

I looked around and saw a balcony. I opened the curtain but there's still a glass. Not a breakable glass. I knew it. I'm just going to break my bone, instead of the glass.

I looked over my shoulder when I heard a knock on the door.

"Who's that? Norwood?" I asked as I slowly walk towards the door.

"Breakfast"

Then the door squeaked open after a woman's voice.

"Mr. Norwood said that you need to eat this before you can talk to him."

A foreign girl stood next to the door holding a tray. Then an idea popped inside my mind. This is my chance.

"Put it there. At the side table."

I followed her back as she walked in. I'm planning to escape while she left the door open.

And I'm not successful.

"Where are you going?"

Am I hallucinating things? Is it just me, or the man standing in front of me, looks like him?

"It's none of your business."

But his expression doesn't changed like as if I haven't said anything.

"Of course it's my business. It's my job to look after you. And it means, every move you make."

"Every move, huh? Does that includes bathing?"

I saw him smirk.

"If you wish"

I didn't mind to respond because I no longer have the time to play around. I have to make my way out of here.

"Pumasok ka na sa loob bago pa kita kaladkarin papasok."

And I have no choice but to. Even if I can manage to escape him, I can't manage to escape the rows of armored men at both left and right corridor outside this unit.

"Let me just ask you one thing."

Nakatingin lang siya na tila hinihintay ang susunod kong sasabihin.

"Are you related to-"

"Time's up. Eat your breakfast before I shoot you. Don't even think of flirting with my boyfriend."

The foreign girl suddenly blocked between us.

"I'm not interested with him, bitch. Just get out of here and leave me."

She just rolled her eyes and dragged the man with him. I took a last glance at him, wondering.

He really looks like him. I mean, Justine.

I consumed my food after making sure there's no poison. I'm also hungry. I'm just walking around this room thinking how to escape when the door squeaked again.

"Tapos ka na? Come with me."

Kinaladkad agad ako palabas nitong demonyong kasama ko. Hindi na ako umangal dahil wala din naman akong magagawa.

"Just kill me if that's what your plan is. I can't wait any longer."

He looked over his shoulder and smirked at me as usual.

"That'll be no thrill."

I just gritted my teeth for that's the best that I can do for now. I just kept following with his hand holding mine. We're now walking in a hallway I'm not familiar with, then I saw that we're walking towards a door. When we get there, he opened the door and,

"Ano to? Rooftop? Ano, ihuhulog moko pababa?"

Ngumiti lang sya at may narinig akong malakas na huni ng umiiikot na elesi. That's certain. Bumaba ang hawak ng kamay nya sa kamay ko. Is it just my nerve? Or my heart just skipped a beat? Urgh.

Hinatak nya ako papalapit sa kabababa lang na helicopter.

"Get in."

"Saan mo nanaman ba plano akong dalhin?!"

"Just get in! Wala na tayong oras!"

Pwersahan nya nanaman akong pinapasok sa loob.

"Let go of my hand! Hindi na ako tatakas! Do you really think I have the guts to jump at this height?!"

But he just ignored me at seryosong nakatingin lang sa kawalan. I looked back sa pinanggalingan naming building kanina at nagtaka ako nang makita kong nasa rooftop halos ata ng mga tauhang nakabantay kanina. They're also looking at us at para silang dismayado. What's going on?

"Happy honeymoon for the both of you."

Mabilis akong tumingin sa piloto nitong helicopter na sinasakyan namin.

"It's you!"

Hindi na ulit sya nagsalita pa. He's the guy earlier na kamukha ni Justine. Seriously, what's going on here?

"Hey, Sean sabihin mo na sakin--"

Pero hindi ko na natuloy ang sasabihin ko dahil bigla nyang isinandig ang ulo nya sa balikat ko. Nakapikit.

"Shut up. Kahit ngayon lang." Pabulong nyang sabi.

Ang kaninang gulong-gulong utak ko, biglang naging blanko. At parang hindi na rin ako makagalaw sa kinauupuan ko.
