Me and Laura we're currently sitting on my small living room sofa, shoving strawberries in our mouths faster than Usain Bolt ran the 100m race.

"This is not a strawberry..."

She says with a frown, holding up a small pale yellow envelope. I quickly take it from her and see my name written across the front. It spelled "thalia" but the h had been crossed out and scribbled over. I rolled my eyes knowing it had been done intentionally. I flip the envelope over and move my hands to open the flap. Inside, I'm surprised to only find a small note. I unfold it and read the message in my head.

I still feel incredibly bad for the events of last night. I was hoping you'd join me for dinner so I could attempt to apologize better.

P.S. I know you said lifetime supply but I had a feeling you'd just eat them all at once. I'll be sending them in separate shipments.

I smile and roll my eyes at the letter. He wasn't wrong. I look over to the box and see that me and Laura had gotten through nearly the whole thing. There was about a handful left.

"What does it say?"

Before I can reply she snatches the note from my hand and squints as she reads the scribbled handwriting.

"OH MY GOD! The Wesley Rivers asked you out to dinner! I'm literally going to die, I cannot believe th—"

I interrupted her blabbering before she could get ahead of herself.

"Relax Laur. It's just a dinner and he only did it out of guilt. It wouldn't matter anyways because I'm not going."

She looked at me as if I just told her I was dropping out of school to become a prostitute or something.

"Are you crazy?! This is Wesley Rivers we're talking about here!! He's like one of most famous singer in the world you can pass up a chance to go to dinner with him!!"

I arch an eyebrow and pop another strawberry in my mouth.

"do you not remember what you told me yesterday? If I'd gone to his concert, you wouldn't bug me about him anymore. And that's exactly what you're doing right now"

she takes the box of strawberries from my grasp and I frown.

"I get what I said, but this is a whole different story! It's a freaking dinner, you have to go tal!"

I grunt and hold my arms across my chest like a child.

"You aren't going to let this go are you?"

I say with a sigh. She shakes her head furiously with a giant grin on her face.

"Fine ok? I'll go. God you're so annoying. Now stop grinning like the Cheshire Cat you're freaking me out"

She immediately jumps from her place on the couch and engulfs me in a hug.

"But you love me anyways! Man, I would kill to be in you're spot! But if it can't be me who marries Wesley I'm glad it will be my bestfriend!"

I push her off me and give her a look.

"Married? Now you're getting way to far ahead of yourself. It's just a dinner, nothing more."

Now it's her turn to give me a look.

"Alright tal, whatever you say. I've watched enough chic flicks to know how this is going to turn out"

I roll my eyes.

"Well my life isn't some kind of romantic fairytale okay? I don't even like Wesley, he's extremely aggravating"

Before she can reply, her phone buzzes and she reads the texts before looking up at me.
