"Where's Wes? Did he fall in or something?"

Cole asks and I laugh lightly. I managed to clean my sweater as much as possible and now there was only a faint stain left.

"I think he went home, I don't really know"

He looks confused but they all decide it's probably best to not ask me anything.

"Where's Tyler?"

I ask, suddenly noticing that he wasn't at the table anymore.

"He had to catch an early flight to New York. He has some orientation for university that he can't miss"

Cason fills me in. I nod my head.

"Oh"

Is all i manage to say. I completely understand why he had to go I just wish he would have said goodbye. We may not have had the best friendship but... well, it's complicated.

Part of me was also incredibly envious that he was already off to university and NYU of all schools. Really wishing that senior year could be over with so that, that could be me. One more month, Talia. One more month.

"Well as incredibly awkward as this was, it was really nice to get us all together again you know."

I say with a smile.

"Don't go all sap on us now, Talia"

Cole says.

"Yeah, this was really nice but I've got to head to practice, coach will be pissed we're late"

Cason says, standing up from the table. Cole turns his wrist to check the time on his watch and his eyes bulge as he quickly stands up.

"Shit yeah, we should get going. It was good seeing you Talia. Laura"

Cason offers a curt nod and walks off but Cole remains in eye contact with Laura for a few moments.

"Um Cole?"

Cason turns back to ask when he realizes Cole wasn't following. He quickly snaps out of his trance.

"Um yeah, bye"

He says before following Cason out of the restaurant.

"And then there were two"

I say, looking over at Laura.

"The OG"

She says with a laugh and I roll my eyes.

"I missed you so much tal, you don't even understand"

I offer her a sympathetic smile before waving over the waitress.

"Can we get two more milkshakes? We're gonna be here a while"

The waitress nods and heads off and Laura smiles.

"We have a lot of catching up to do"

Laura says moving over in her booth so that she's directly in front of me.

"You're telling me"

We both share a laugh and the waitress returns with the two milkshakes.
