I loved my sleep.
sleep was my priority above all. but there was some instances where something outweighed my love for sleep.
this was on of the instances.
I tapped my fingers along the table of the dimly lit coffee shop. It was actually pretty annoying how everything in Paris was so artsy and cute. This cafe has a run down but spunky feel with the hanging lights and caramel brown coloured chairs. I would literally live her if i could. Plus, the coffee was amazing!
As if just remembering my black coffee sitting infront of me, I brought it to my lips and took a long sip.
Just as I set it down on the table, the bell above the door jingled and I looked up to see Hailey walking in the door.
I mentally cursed in my head because even at midnight she still managed to look perfect. However that small voice of jealously in my head quickly diminished when I realized why I was here and a smile overtook my face.
"Hey Hailey"
I said as she sat down. I pushed a cup of coffee towards her.
"Black?"
She asks simply, hesitantly taking a sip. I scrunch my eyebrows.
"Please tell me you don't add piles of sugar"
She takes a long drag before sitting it infront of her.
"God no, black is the only way"
We both laugh a little.
"Well I guess you're wondering why I asked you here especially so late"
She nods her head and slips her hands around her mug for comfort.
"Yeah actually, it's kinda late"
When I called her on the phone I simply told her to meet me at this location and that it was important. And that it couldn't wait until tomorrow. Oh, and that I wasn't going to cry and scream about Wes again.
"Well, Wes told me everything,"
I say to start. I see her smile falter a little.
"Yeah, I figured he would."
I sigh
"I just want to say I'm so sorry. I was a complete asshole to you and for no reason and I had no right to talk to you and accuse you of the things I did."
She smiles again and laughs a little.
"It's fine, Talia, really. I don't blame you. You love Wes and if I was you and thought he was cheating, I'd probably react the same way. Actually, I'd probably give him a black eye too but, you know."
We both laugh.
"Well, I didn't just come here to apologize actually. I was hoping you'd forgive me because I want to do something about this"
She looks confused before realization dawns on her.
"I don't know if it's a good idea, Talia."
I sigh. I knew she would be hard to convince.
"Listen, what chase did to you was wrong. And he definitely should not be able to get away with that,"
