It was Monday at school and people were suddenly looking at me like I was a small loan made to Donald Trump.
Seriously, news spreads fast in this town. I shouldn't be surprised but I still wasn't expecting all this attention.
Ever since that website posted mine and Wes's picture, people haven't stopped staring at me. All it took was a small glare from my end and they would return back to their usual business.
I haven't heard from Wes since that night, and I've been doing my best to forget about him. It wouldn't be hard if people weren't constantly asking me about him. I didn't know what Wesley expected me to say, if he wanted me to lie. So I just avoided any topic that had his name in it.
Just as I was shutting my locker some brunette that I've never seen before came running up to me.
"Oh my god, hey Talia! We should totally catch up! What's all this news about you and Wesley?"
I hold back the urge to roll my eyes and instead give her the fakest smile on the planet.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?"
I've never seen this girl before and the fact that she knows my name kind of creeps me out.
"Oh, hah probably not but that doesn't matter because I know you!"
"Right..."
The bell signalling first period rings and I mentally cry out in happiness.
"Oops! Better get to class, see ya!"
I dart around her before she can ask me any further questions. Being saved by the bell was truly a blessing.
I walk into my first period class which happens to be one of the two I have with Laura. Calculus, how exciting. I make my way through the maze of desks and sit next to Laura in our usual spot.
"you're the whole talk of the school"
She whispers to me as Mrs. Williams starts her lecture. I sigh and take out my binder and pencils, pretending to take notes.
"Tell me something I don't know. I really don't get what the big deal is"
She scoffs and turns to face me when Mrs. Williams dismisses us to finish up our partner work.
"There a freaking picture of you kissing Wesley Rivers, you can't seriously be surprised people are dying for details!"
Her voice raises a little and we gain a few stares from our peers around the class.
"Well they need to get over it. It was a one time thing, I doubt I'll be seeing him anytime soon anyways"
Laura notices my irritation and just reluctantly nods and returns back to her notes. Not pressing me any further.

Thankfully it was last period and there was only minutes until the day was over. I could not stand one more question about Wesley, I would literally throw a punch at the next person who brought it up.
No one even talked to me before today, it's funny how things change when you're caught kissing a world famous celebrity.
Finally the bell signalling the end of the day rung and I shove all my books into my bag before slinging it over my shoulder. I want to get out of here as fast as possible without any more run ins.
Laura had dance practice today. Or maybe it was cheerleading for a football game. I don't know, I really can't keep up. I used to go to those games all the time, but sudden events happened to prevent me from stepping close to that dreaded field ever again.
