I was holding Demi in my arms, my cheek resting on her shoulder & I felt her shaking, slightly. I knew she was fighting tears, so I lifted my head to look at her. "What's wrong?" I asked, sitting up on my elbow.

"You're leaving me alone with Reese." She said, her voice shaking.

"Yea. Do you not want me to leave you alone with her?"

"I'm fine with it." She croaked out, then turned toward me. "It just means so much, to me, that you trust me enough to leave her alone with me. That was one of the things I was worried about while I was doing my therapy. I worried that you wouldn't ever trust me again with her." Her voice trailed off as the tears spilled over.

"I know you'd never hurt her, Baby. I know you wouldn't hurt her intentionally. I trust you. I trust you so much."

Demi bit her lip as she stared into my eyes. She looked like she wanted to tell me something else, but then she rolled onto her back & sighed. Suddenly, she sat up & gasped. "What time is it? Do we need to go get Damon?"

"We should get up & get dressed, so we can go get him." I said as I got out of the bed. Demi & I got dressed, then headed downstairs. I grabbed my keys & took Demi's hand after I locked the door & closed it. We walked to my jeep & I held the door open, then I helped her get in. I drove us to Damon's school & when he saw us as he came out of the school, he sprinted toward us, screaming as he threw his arms around Demi's legs.

"I missed you so much, Mommy." Damon said as he took Demi's hand. "Don't leave me again, okay?"

"I'll try not to, but sometimes I just have to go away for a few days. Like when I have a baby." Demi said, then bit her lip & looked at me. We hadn't told Damon, yet, that Demi was pregnant again.

"You already had a baby."

We got to the jeep & I helped Damon get inside & buckled up. "She could have another one." I said, trying to sound casual.

"You got a boy & a girl, so why do you need to have another one?" Damon asked Demi as she got in the car.

Demi fastened her seatbelt as I started the car, then she looked over her seat at Damon. "Because I love babies." She smiled at him. "I'm actually going to have another one, sweetie. I found out, not too long ago."

"You are?" Damon's voice was on the verge of sounding disappointed.

"I thought you wanted a little brother." I said as I looked at him through the rearview mirror.

"I do, but what if this other baby is another girl?" Damon asked, looking out the window.

"We'll send it back." I said & Demi smacked my arm as she gasped.

"No, we won't. We will love it the same if it's a girl or a boy."

"I was kidding, Damon." I chuckled. "Yes, we will love it no matter what it is."

"I hope it's a boy." Damon muttered & I grinned at Demi, nodding my head like I kinda was hoping for the same thing.

When we got to my mom's, Demi practically ran to the house, while I waited for Damon to get out of the car. When Damon & I got inside the house, Demi was holding Reese against her, rocking her back & forth with her eyes closed. Damon ran to hug my mom, then she took him into the kitchen to get a snack. I wrapped my arms around my girls, kissing both their heads. We hung out at my mom's for a bit, then she invited us to stay for dinner, so we did.

"Am I still watching the kids tomorrow so you can go to dinner for Demi's birthday?" My mom asked as we were eating dinner.

"Yea, if you don't mind." I said, in between bites of my dinner.
