I sat in my office in the record company building I co-own. I just had a stressful meeting with a new client that Mike, the other co-owner, wanted to sign. I don't feel as if she sings the style of music we are trying to produce at Machine Shop. After the meeting with her, I had a meeting with Mike. Finally after we finished arguing over signing the poor girl, we sat in silence. He was on his phone, and I was typing up an email on the computer.

"So when are you leaving to go back home?" Mike asked.

"In a couple hours. I just wanted to make sure my work was done before I left." I said.

"I told you not to come to work today." He chuckled.

"Yeah well," I said.

"What?" He asked.

"I know better than just leaving you with work. You'll call me fussing." I laughed, looking at him.

"Why don't you head out? You need to get back home," he smiled.

"Alright. Thanks Mikey," I said.

"No problem." He said.

"Lock up my office when you leave please." I said, getting up from my desk.

"Alright, no problem." He responded. I turned off my computer and grabbed my bag. I hugged him and left.

I went home to my apartment to get my bags and headed to the airport.

I waited for my flight to be called, and boarded. I had a window seat, luckily, but there was a crying baby behind me, and a screaming little kid next to me...it's going to be a long flight...

The 4 hour flight finally ended. I got my bags and purchased a rental car, and started the 45 minute drive to Aiden's house.

It was getting dark outside, but I knew I was only a few more miles away from Grosse Tete, Louisiana. I stayed on Interstate 10 until I saw the Tiger Truck Stop sign. That's when my nerves took over, and I had to pull over. I pulled into the truck stop and parked, trying to keep myself from having another anxiety attack.

I'm so scared to go home. I've changed a lot since the day I left Grosse Tete. When I left,I dressed nicely and I had a nicer car, but nothing compared to now. I dressed for the money- which wasn't much- that I had, but now everything's changed. Now, I can afford expensive clothes, and cars, and things like that.  I remember the night I left...it was so hard... It was has hard to leave Aiden and his parents behind.

*Flashback*

"Please don't leave, Sarah. You can go to college here," Aiden begged.

"Baby," I sighed, "We've had this conversation already. I can't stay. I'll be back."

"When?!" Aiden cried. "When are you gonna take the time and money to come back to this dump?! You're moving to LOS ANGELES! You're going to forget about us!"

"No I won't!" I exclaimed. "Aiden, I LOVE YOU! I'm just going to be gone for two years for college."

"Whatever." he sighed, "I can't wait two years for you, Sarah."

"I'm not breaking up with you, Aiden." I said, "Remember that."

"Well I'm breaking up with you then," He said,"I cannot handle a long distance relationship. I have to have you here."
