*Sarah's POV*

I sat in the kitchen playing with Sammy. I knew I was going to have to get some play time in before we left for tour. Sammy has gotten so big in the past few months.

Aiden's sister still has not really spoken to me since her last arrival. She has apparently visited Rachel and Carl's house frequently. Her and Rachel do a lot together now. I called Rachel to have a girl's day yesterday, because I really needed it, and she was already having a "girl's day" with Karen.

That hurt slightly, but I just said "okay" and played with Sammy and waited on Aiden to get home from helping Carl on his truck.

Aiden came home late again this evening and told me he had something to tell me. I was somewhat nervous, because he looked very serious.

"What's going on Aiden?" I asked.

"Alright, so, a couple nights ago, you had a call from 5 Seconds of Summer's manager. He wants you to do a song with them." Aiden said, "But I don't think you should do it... yet."

"Why not?" I asked.

"Well between studio work with Hunter, and us prepping for tour, you just need sometime to relax." He said. I looked past him.

"Aiden, I'm fine." I said.

"I know." he said. "But you need to chill for a little while."

"I am chilling! But when your damn mother replaces me, I'm stuck at home when everyone else is preoccupied! It drives me crazy!" I cried.

"Is that why you're so upset?" Aiden asked me, "Because my mom is spending time with her own daughter?"

"Yes." I said. Aiden sighed and wrapped his arms around me.

"How about this: go shower, and I will take you to this fancy restaurant I read about today." He said. "Put on a nice dress."

"Okay." I said, softly.

I went upstairs and took a shower. I put on a shorter, black dress, that wasn't all that tight but fit me nicely. I waved my hair and did my make up. About two hours passed, and Aiden was knocking on the door.

"Baby, you're already beautiful. Hurry up." He said from behind the door. I smiled to myself and finished up. I opened the door, and put on my shoes. I went downstairs to see Aiden in dress pants and a nice shirt and tie. He smiled at me.

"Wow. You look gorgeous." He said. "You always do, but right now, you look...wow." He couldn't find the words to say.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"It's a surprise." He smiled. I smiled back and grabbed his hand. "I love you, beautiful."

"I love you too baby." I said softly.

We walked into the fancy little restaurant.

"Mr. Davis?" She asked, her French accent heavy.

"Yes." He nodded.

"Follow me."

We sat at the table, which was set very nicely. Aiden pulled the chair out for me and I sat down, and scooted myself in.

It was a nice little candle-lit table. The sun was down outside and it was about 8pm.

We ordered our food, and the waitress brought us wine. She whispered something in Aiden's ear. He smiled and nodded. Confused, I gave her a death glare. What did she tell him? Why did he smile?

After our dinner and small talk she asked if we wanted desert. Aiden said yes, and she brought us the menus.

"No we don't need it. Just bring us your best dish."

I smiled at his spontaneousness. He grabbed my hand.

"You're the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on." He admired.

"You think so?" I asked.

"No," he smiled. "I know so."

My cheeks flushed. He's so sweet!!

"I'm going to the restroom right quick. I'll be right back." Aiden told me.

"Okay," I said.

As he walked away I could see his hands were shaking. What's he up to?

I waited patiently. Aiden came back, and sat quietly. The waitress brought our dessert. Mine had a little, heart shaped box.

"What's this?" I asked, picking it up. Aiden got up, softly taking the box from may hand. He got down on one knee, and smiled at me.

"Remember that stupid little promise I made you when we were in high school that I would write your name in the skies to ask you to marry me?" he chuckled, "well I didn't do that, but that doesn't mean I love you any less than I did that day. In fact I love you way more. You are the only thing in this world that has every brought me happiness. We've known each other since high school, and I never thought that we would be in a band together and both living in a nice house, with a puppy. I have never been this happy in my life, so please, do me the pleasure in being happy for the rest of my life. Sarah, will you marry me?"

At this point I was in tears. I nodded, tears falling down my cheeks.

"Yes, Aiden, yes!" I cried. He slid the ring on my finger and wrapped his arms around me.

That night we went home and watched movies and cuddled with Sammy in the bed. It was something we so desperately needed to do. I missed Aiden. He has felt so far away for so long, yet he's been right here the whole time.
