Today's the day we moved. Rachel was crying, and Carl was eagerly packing our stuff in the U-haul with Aiden.
I didn't really understand why Rachel was so sad,we were only moving 15 minutes away; there was a nice house on the bayou, in Plaqumine.
"So, did y'all ever find a place for me to build y'all a house?" I asked.
"Well...I figured it would be best to stay here. We have a lot of land right here." She said.
"Do you still want the house?" I asked.
"Yes, we just want to stay on this land." She said.
"Of course. Anything for you and Carl." I smiled. She sighed and pulled me into a hug.
"It's so hard seeing you two leave." She sighed, letting go. "I love y'all so much."
"We love you too, Rachel." I said softly. "Just think. This is the first step of me becoming a permanent member of the family."
"You're already a permanent member," she told me. "Married to my son or not, you will always be like my daughter."
"Hopefully we'll get married soon." I sighed. "I don't know if he'll ever ask though."
"Hey, he adores you, and love you more than you will ever know. So when he feels like it's time, he will ask." She promised. I smiled.
"Alright. Thank you, Rachel." I said. The door opened and Aiden walked in, wiping the sweat off of his forehead.
"Ready to go baby?" He asked.
"Um, yeah." I said.
"Mom, I love you. Thank you for always being there. If you ever need anything you let us know ok?" Aiden asked and hugged his mom.
"Babe, we're not going but 15 minutes down the road." I laughed a bit.
"She's right. But still, I promise I will let you know if we need anything." Rachel promised him.
"Are y'all gonna come to the house?" I asked.
"Yep. We'll be there a little while after y'all. We wanna give y'all some time to settle down in the house and then we'll bring the rest of your stuff and Aiden's truck." Rachel said.
"Alrighty, thanks." I said.
Aiden and I left the house, and I followed him in my Range Rover to our new home.
When we got there, Aiden jumped out of the U-haul, and I got out if the car. I looked at the house in amazement. I knew what it looks like but it was crazy to think that it was ours. I walked over to Aiden and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"We did it baby. This is ours. This is our life, together." I smiled.
"Let's go inside." He said, and pulled me into the house. "How long do you think we have before my parents get here?"
"An hour? Maybe?" I asked.
"That's long enough." He smirked and pulled me to the bed...

I grabbed boxes and brought them into the house. This one was labeled kitchen stuff so I brought it to the huge kitchen.
When I went outside, to see Aiden struggling with a box.
"Babe!" I whined.
"Help please?" He chuckled.
"Yeah," I shook my head and helped him pick up the heavy box.
We brought it into the living room since it was regular decorations like picture frames and lamps and stuff.
I heard a car door shut, so I figured Rachel and Carl was here.
