Rachel and I pulled up at a small store that wasn't too far from their house. I walked inside, to see familiar faces giving me sideways looks. I sighed and looked down, ignoring them.

I followed Rachel around the store, as she picked up some groceries and put them into a basket.

"Do you eat anything in particular?" She asked.

I laughed a bit. "I eat the same as I did when I left. Nothing's changed." I said.

"I figured. I was just making sure." She said.

"Thanks," I said, softly. "I obviously must be hated around here."

"What makes you say that?" She asked.

"All the death glares I've received," I said.

"Eh, don't worry about them. They're just mad because you left. Once they realized you're back, they won't say much." Rachel assured me. Once they realize I'm back...yeah...I'm back for two weeks...

"Okay," I said softly.

We checked out and went back home.  Aiden was inside playing a game on his Xbox. Carl was playing on his phone.

"Go sit next to Aiden," Rachel whispered in my ear. I nodded, and walked over to Aiden, and sat next to him. He looked at me from the corner of his eye but never really made direct eye contact.

I watched him play his game until it was time for bed.

"You're in my room with me," Aiden said, walking past me.

"Ok," I responded, even though he didn't hear me. I got my bags from my car, and went into his room. I grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom. I took a shower, attempting to clear my head.

I love Aiden...more than anything. I've dated a couple people since I left home, but I never felt the same with them as it felt with Aiden. From the start, I knew I liked Aiden, and then it escalated to so much, so quickly, as I got close to him. I know I hurt him when I said that me and him weren't together anymore...but we're not. I want to be, but now I can't because I'm leaving again. I hate this, but it's too late to change anything. My life is in California, and there's no turning back anymore.

After my shower, I went into his room, where he was laying on the bed listening to music. He looked at me, and then looked away.

"Can we talk? Please?" I asked.

"Sure," he said.

"Aiden...I love you...you know that right?" I asked, sitting next to him on the bed. He sat up.

"I don't know, do I?" He asked.

"You should," I said.

"How can I? I've been here, hurting for two years Sarah! And you've been gone, living life to the fullest. Never thought twice about me. We were supposed to be forever, Sarah. Remember that? Remember when you made me promise I wasn't leaving? Well I didn't go anywhere. You did." He spat.

"I-" I started, lost for words.

"I love you more than anything Sarah. I love you enough, that even though we broke up I'm still here, waiting. Even though I said I wouldn't." He said.

"You can't tell me you haven't dated anyone else." I said.

"I have. One girl. Broke up with her in the first couple weeks. She was nothing compared to you. How many people have you dated?! Ten? Twenty?" He asked, coldly.

"Two." I said. "I've went on a date with two different people in two years and it never went any farther. All I want is you."

"Well then why did you say we weren't together anymore? Do you not want to be with me? I mean that's fine. I'll have closure. I can move on now." He said. "Now that I don't have a chance anymore."
