*Sarah's POV*
I woke up the next morning, my back to Aiden. I turned around to see him on his phone, his facial expression was unreadable. I went to grab my phone off the nightstand but it wasn't there.
"Hey, have you seen my phone?" I asked him.
"Yep, it's right here," he said and handed it to me.
I unlocked it to see the messages opened. Rob had sent me multiple text messages last night and I guess Aiden read them. I'm perfectly okay with that, but the fact of what Rob had to say is what bothered me- when it comes to Aiden reading the messages.
I went out on a date with my band mate, Rob, one time, though things didn't end well...at all. He took us going out on a date as me being his girlfriend, and he became possessive. If I was even alone in a room with someone like Mike or Brad (everyone in the band is male except for me) then he would get angry...and I didn't even know why. It eventually got to the point when I was alone with him at the studio...and well...he raped me. I don't really like to talk about it, and no body knows but me and Rob. I didn't say anything because I didn't want everyone to hate him.
"So...who is Rob?" Aiden asked.
"Um... My band mate," I responded.
"Okay," he said, "well I have a question."
"What's up?" I asked.
"Those text messages." He said.
"I uh...he..." I stuttered.
"What is it, Sarah?" Aiden asked.
"He's sort of possessive," I said.
"What do you mean sort of?" He asked, sternly.
"I went on one date with him a while ago...and since then he thinks he owns me." I said.
"There's something else."
Aiden knows me way too well.
"I.." I started.
"What?" He asked.
"He raped me."
His face went from concerned to angry. He got up, and pushed over the lamp on the bed side table.
"DAMMIT!!" He yelled.
"Aiden please stop."
"NO!" He screamed. "Why didn't you tell me?! Or the cops?! Ever think of that?!"
"Aiden." I said, wearily.
"Did you tell anyone?" He asked.
"No. No one knows but you." I responded.
"Why?!" He cried.
"Because I didn't want everyone to hate him." I said, softly.
"But he raped you!!!" Aiden exclaimed, "he deserves everyone to hate him!!"
"Aiden," I said softly.
"Don't say my name like that." He said.
"Well then please stop." I said. "It's done and over with."
"No it's not! His ass is being put in jail. If not, mine will because I'm gonna kill him." Aiden growled. I just looked at him. This side of Aiden scared me...for reason. My father was angry like this a lot, and it was hard for me to get away from, until I moved in with Aiden's family. He looked at me, seeing the fear in my eyes, and calmed down. He sighed and sat down next to me. "Sarah...what kind of...of...boyfriend...would I be if I just let this go? How long ago was this?"
"A couple months." I said.
"Well...look. I'm going to protect you. He's never going to hurt you again." Aiden promised me. Tears formed in my eyes, and I hugged him tightly.
"I love you," I said softly.
"I love you too," he said. I got up out of the bed and walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. Rachel and Carl had already left for work. Aiden walked in and took out a pan and turned on the stove.
"I'm cooking eggs for breakfast. Do you want some?" He asked me.
"Yes please," I said, and kissed his cheek.
We ate in complete silence then he turned on the Xbox and played his game. I logged into my computer and started emailing Mike.
"So what are we working on today?" I asked.
He responded saying, "More studio work. I dropped that little girl you didn't like lol."
I smiled, "Good... it wasn't that she wasn't talented...but she wasn't what we are looking for, y'know?"
"Yeah I know. Thanks for all your help :)"
"No problem.. what work have y'all done in the studio today?"
"Nothing much yet... but we have a deadline to meet by Friday...which is in two days. It's hard not having you here to help me lol... never knew you were so important- just kidding," he joked.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. It makes you appreciate that work I do," I responded.
"Your eyes are glued to that screen, Sarah." Aiden broke me from the computer.
"Oh," I laughed, "Sorry."
"What are you doing that's that important?" he chuckled.
"Having a conversation with Mike," I said. "It's not that important though."
"It's fine. I was just making sure everything was okay," Aiden said.
"Thanks," I said.
"Welcome," he said and continued his game. I told Mike goodbye and sat on the couch with Aiden. I sat between his legs and watched him play his video game. He wrapped his arms around me and kept playing. Eventually, he paused the game and put the controller down. He started playing with my hair, and eventually move it aside, and left light kisses on my neck. He knew that gave me butterflies, and I loved that feeling.
Aiden pulled me closer to him, and I looked up at him, and pressed my lips against his softly. He flipped my body around to where I was on top of him, and he laid back.
"You're so beautiful," he reminded me, by whispering in my ear. The front door opened, and Carl walked in. I heard Aiden curse under his breath.
"What are you doing home?" Aiden asked Carl.
"Took a sick day." Carl said and sat in his chair. Aiden frowned.
"Wanna go in the bedroom?" He asked me.
"Sure," I responded. I followed Aiden to his room. He sat on the bed and pulled me to him.
"So I have a question," he said.
"Yes?" I asked, running my fingers through his soft brown hair.
"What are we?" He asked, chuckling.
"What do you mean?" I asked, smiling.
"Are we together or not?" He asked.
"Yes we're together," I said. "If you want us to be."
"Well of course I do," he said.
"Then all you have to do is ask me," I said. Aiden smiled a bit and grabbed my hands.
"Sarah Marie Landry, will you be my girlfriend...again?" He asked me.
"Of course I will," I said. He chuckled and I kissed his smiling lips. "I love you, Aiden."
"I love you too, Sarah," he said. "You don't know how happy you just made me."
"Well I'm glad you're happy." I said. I looked into his hazel eyes, that I could just get lost in, and I could see the love he has for me...I always could. Now I'm stuck, trying to decide what I'm going to do...stay home...or go back to California?
