listen to Kiss the Girl (The Little Mermaid) while reading a certain part, I thought it was fitting ;)

Turns out meeting the mother wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was fidgeting uncomfortably at first, trying to hide my face behind my hair, but then his mom –Susan- pulled me into a hug and reassured me that I didn't have to be nervous. Even though her gesture calmed me down I couldn't help but feel that something was a bit off with her. I didn't mean she was crazed but she seemed a little out of it. She drifted off at times and Matt had to snap her back to reality and remind her that she was in her dining room with her kids and a guest. That was actually kinda sad, his mom looked so kind and loving yet so out of this world sometimes.
Either way, his sister Ingrid amused us with her innuendos and names for Matt. Also, her high school stories were pretty funny. She was a junior but 'too mature for all the assholes that attended it.' She was too smart for them all, she believed.
After we ate lunch, Matt's mom excused herself to go lie down in her bedroom because she was feeling a bit tired. Ingrid left the house saying she was meeting some friends and suddenly Matt and I were left alone in his living room.
"What do you wanna do? Movies?" he asked after an awkward silence.
Movies? I thought I was going to be kicked out any minute now.
"Are you sure? I should get going, I don't want to intrude..."
I'm an idiot, I know.
"Of course I'm sure, you're not intruding. You're staying here today."
I silently nodded and made my way to stand beside him and I sat on the couch while he chose yet another movie to watch.
Half an hour into the movie, I felt Matt strangely moving. I glanced at him for a brief moment but he noticed and stopped. That was weird. I went back to watching the movie but five minutes later he did the same thing again.
What was he doing?
I looked at him again but didn't say anything. I rose my eyebrow at him but he just scratched the back of his neck as if he was embarrassed and turned to the TV.
Okay then.
Right when I thought he had quit being weird, fifteen minutes later the same thing again. He was moving closer to me and I let him. I didn't turn to look at him this time, maybe that made him nervous.
He got so close that now our thighs were touching and somehow he had managed to place his arm over my shoulders.
Oh my God. This was like those 80's teenage movies. Shit.
We kept on watching the movie like nothing had happened and I acted like I wasn't hysterical because we were so close. I tried to look unaffected and, parying for him not to notice, I leaned –a little- on his body. I hoped it didn't look like I was trying to lie on his chest.
This was so embarrassing.
By the time the movie had ended, we were cuddling like no one has ever before. Yeah, we were totally cuddling.
Now the awkward moment. The movie's finished. The screen is black, there's nothing playing. We have to move.
Slowly, I untangled my arms from his torso and took my legs off from under my butt. however, in a sudden move, Matt caught my arm and kept me from moving away from him.
"Wait." he whispered. "Just wait a few minutes."
My eyes widened. My mouth hung open. I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding and stared at him. At his beautiful eyes, that were looking right back at mine. My heart beating faster, my hands slightly shaking, my face burning hot.
