N O R A

I wasn't laughing anymore as I stared right back at him, not knowing what to do or say.

I knew it. I knew Aubrey's Nathan and Matt's Nathan were the same Nathan.

Fuck.

I wasn't ready to face him just yet! Why had this to happen to me? Couldn't he just wait couple of more weeks?! Or months?!

It was 2 minutes to 12pm now and everyone was getting ready to hear the countdown and celebrate the New Year with their love ones. Suddenly, Aubrey appeared out of nowhere yelling that she couldn't miss 2016 even if she was barffing. barf

I fixed sight again with Matt's for exactly five seconds and I noticed he was trying to approach me. However, in that exact moment everybody started chanting and counting down and I lost him in the crowd of people. I guessed he had gone back to his friends.

"5!...4!...3!...2!...1!... 0! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!" the whole house shouted at the same time and I could see Aubrey and Levi to my right sharing their first kiss of the new year.

I took my phone out of my clutch and opened up a chat with Mia and Stella. I had them a little abandoned.

ME: Girls!!!!!!! happy new year!!!!!!! have fun xoxo

Mia xd: Nor happy new year hon!! have a great start of the year <3 <3

Stells <3: Nora babe happy new year 2 u 2!!! hope to c u soon love u <3

After five long minutes of almost choking her boyfriend to his death, Aubrey untangled her arms from behind his neck and rushed to me and hugged me.

"NORA!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR BABE!!" she kissed my cheeks several times and I couldn't help but laugh at her sudden demonstration of affection. She had a strong grip too.

"Happy New Year to you too Aubrey" I said back to her with a smile of my own. I was happy that now we were enjoying this moment together, as friends. Because after some rough times that we had been through, and even though she annoyed the hell out of me sometimes, I stilled loved her and cared about her.

"WOOHOO LET'SSSS PAAAARTYYYY!" she screamed before grabbing both her boyfriend's and my hands and dragging us to the dance floor, surrounded by sweaty people.

She started grinding against her boyfriend's body and I tried to fit in with the rest of the crowd, pretending that I knew what I was doing moving my uncoordinated body.

Three songs later and I was exhausted. I was sweating like a pig and was panting heavily. I looked to my side and saw Aubrey like she had just started her day with so much energy that I thought she was high.

I really hoped she wasn't.

It was nearly 12.30 am now and I was more than ready to leave. I was about to turn to my left and finally leave the dance floor when two arms circled my waist and pulled me into them.
