N O R A

I DTRed, okay.

Like, really did.

Maybe I was too blunt? It went out like this:

Me: So what are we?

Matt: You're my girlfriend, I told you.

Me: But you didn't ask me.

Matt sighs: Okay then *Matt gets on one knee, which is stupid but whatever* Nora, I think I can be potentially falling in love with you so would you do me the honor of becoming this humble miserable guy's girlfriend?

I shrugged: Okay. Cool.

Okay, so it actually didn't go like that. I like to believe that we had a proper conversation in which we both expressed our sincerest feelings towards each other.

It didn't go like that either.

However, his declaration was exactly like that. A bit longer maybe. Cheesy as hell for sure.

Can't say I didn't love every second of it.

We did talk, and I did express my feelings, but all I told him was how I felt and what I wanted out of this. In my naturally shy way, of course. My hands were shaking and I stuttered, my speech was flawed and I'm sure Matt pitied me from the start to the finish but he helped me through it and I learned that I could trust him not to laugh at me.

After all this, I defined the relationship, like Aubrey suggested -more like ordered- and, right now, things were amazing.

It had been two weeks since then and Matt had taken me out on several dates. Some of them were your typical dinner and movie, walk in the park blah blah blah.

But the good ones... the good ones were Matt's style.

The day of our first really good date, Matt took me to the zoo. I know it doesn't sound really awesome, more like a kids' play date, but it was.

He was so sweet, he held my hand, we visited all the animals, the seals show, the eagles show, we rode on horses and I even petted a baby elephant. We even went scuba diving in the zoo, since apparently there was a prepared area where you could dive and swim with little sharks.

I was terrified at first, and Matt was laughing at me as always. So, to stop him from embarrassing me any further, I gave in and dive into de water. The sharks surrounded me and I could have sworn I peed my suit, but I didn't. I even took a picture for proof, because I knew that when I told Aubrey she wouldn't believe me.

We also made out a lot, which I was getting better at. I didn't think I was ever going to get tired of kissing Matt's soft pink lips.

Anyway, that was the 'soft' date. Like, a normal one.

The next one was pretty hardcore to me, to say the least.

Matt took me parachuting.

Like, the actual thing.

It was one day that he had taken me on a surprise once again. He blindfolded me and took me to his car. After two hours driving we ended up in an open field. There was a man there waiting for us, with a small plane. Matt explained to me that we were going to do parachuting and I told him to fuck himself because I wasn't going to do that, not in a million years.

I did it.

Let me tell you, Matt's a sneaky one. It was totally unfair that he convinced me with those ridiculous eyes of his and his damn stupid smirk. That was all it took before I felt weak in the knees.

So, reluctantly I agreed to get on the plane and get all the equipment on me. Once we were up in the air it was a different story. I refused to let Matt do it, even though I also insisted that he was first because I needed him to catch me.

Quite contradictory, I know. That's me.

After twenty minutes of convincing me that everything was going to be fine and having the pilot fly in circles until I made up my mind.

I kissed Matt with all my strength because I was terrified and let him jump with a smile. After that, I took three breaths and counted to ten. And then, with trembling hands, I jumped.

It was terrifyingly awesome.

Getting that feeling, that adrenaline rush in my veins and seeing the world from above, so high, was breathtaking. I caught up to Matt and he was grinning from ear to ear when he saw me beside him. He kissed me like his life depended on it and took my hand, both ready to land together. Before we landed, he shouted:

"The world is literally at your feet, Nora! Enjoy it!"

And in that moment, looking at the world before us and looking into his eyes, I knew it.

I was so deeply in love with him -and there was no going back now.
