N O R A

"Well," I sighed. "This is it."

Coming back home totally sucked. New York had been unforgettable and now we were back in the real world, where family and college and problems existed.

"It is." Matt nodded at me with a deep sigh. "Did you have fun?"

I looked at him and grinned like an idiot. "It was amazing. I had so much fun! We have to repeat it."

"Well, it wasn't actually my idea, it was more your friends, but..."

"I don't care. You encouraged me and I lived this trip with you, so thank you for making it incredibly wonderful."

I think Matt was blushing.

After a few awkward seconds I learned my lesson and decided not to say anything else that could possibly make Matt embarrassed.

Suddenly, the door to my house opened to reveal my father and my brother. Oh oh. This didn't look good. What was my father doing waiting for me at the door? It'd been years since he'd waited by the door for me. Now that I thought about it, maybe he had never done it.

"We have company." Matt said, rising his eyebrows. He looked suspicious and ready to start a fight if needed, since he knew how my relationship with my father was. I put a calming hand over his own and sighed.

"Yeah, I'd better go soo what they want." I leaned over the console and passionately kissed him for my father and Jake to see. Also, because his kisses were damn good, but it was a bonus that my father and brother were watching, since I knew it'd piss them off.

I climbed out of the car and went to the trunk to retrieve my suitcase. I then blew a kiss to Matt from his car window and waved him goodbye when he drove off my driveway.

I made my way to the door and gave them both an annoyed look. "Wow. You just need the shotgun and riffle to look like complete psychos. Well done."

I walked pass them mad and all but stomped up the stairs to my room, slamming the door shut behind me. I didn't really comprehend why I was so mad. Maybe it was the look my father had given Matt when he saw us come, as if he wanted to kill him right on the spot. Maybe it was the scowl my brother was wearing in that face of his when he saw me kiss Matt. Urgh, they had no right to act like this.

Ten minutes later, I was still unpacking my suitcase when someone knocked on my door. I sighed and tried to control my hormones, then said "Come in."

I turned around from my bed to find my brother Jake stepping into my room with a sheepish look on his face. "Hey there favorite sis." The idiot greeted me.

I rolled my eyes at him and went back to unpacking. "I'm your only sister." I muttered.

"Okay," he sighed "I'm sorry I was kind of a jerk. I don't know the guy and he could be a great guy but really, what did you expect? I don't know him, and you all but jumped his bones right there in the car and honestly it made me want to murder him for mauling my baby sister in front of me."
