The week dragged on till Friday extremely slowly. I knew Matt had something planned for us on the weekend, but the fact that I didn't have a single clue on what it was, was eating me up.

So on Friday evening, when I received a text from Mr. Sexy-as-hell saying to start packing lightly because he was picking me up in an hour, I was kinda shocked.

I replied, demanding an explanation to that nonsense, but I got none. This Matt guy was messing with my head. And my heart.

So, in my shock state, I didn't start packing. I did nothing at all. Just sat around thinking about what this mysterious surprise could be. Half an hour later I had finally gotten out my shocked state and I had managed to pull out a small travel bag and had packed my toiletries and underwear -just in case he decided to turn up earlier and caught a glimpse of my private pieces of cloth.

When I reached for my actual clothes, there was a knock on my bedroom door. Matt? How had he managed to enter the house?

"Come in!" I yell. I started folding some shirts, since I didn't even know if I'd be needing a lot of clothes. When I said Mattie boy hadn't told me anything I meant nothing at all. I looked at my door to see an embarrassed Jake scratching the back of his neck, looking everywhere but me. He cleared his throat.

"Hey, Nora. Sorry to bother you but um... there's a guy downstairs saying he's picking you up?"

I was shocked to see my older brother in my room, it had been a long time since that had last happened. I just nodded at him cause I didn't know what to say. Matt was here already? I knew he'd be here earlier than planned because he's just that annoying.

"Who is he, huh? Boyfriend? Do I need to get dad's gun out?" I didn't answer because this was surreal. He wanted to play big brother now? Too fucking late. Seeing as I didn't reply him, he kept talking "He doesn't' look like a nice lad, maybe I should just tell him he got the wrong house..."

"Don't you dare, Jake!" I yelled at him. "So the other day, you come home looking like a wreck, completely smashed and drunk off your ass saying sorry, and now you're playing big brother with me? -"

"Well guess what, Nora. I care about you because you're my little sister! Because I love you!"

"Too late, Jake! You come a couple years late, don't you think?!" I threw my arms in the air. I was exploding and I couldn't stop it. I didn't want Matt to hear this, but this moment was as good as any. I needed to get this out of my head and my heart.

"I'm sorry, okay?! I blamed you for something that clearly wasn't your fault! But I was angry, I was wrecked and I didn't know what to do! I needed to blame someone for what happened to her!"

"Oh, and I wasn't?! I wasn't devastated, Jake? Huh? Look at me! I can barely live in this house, all alone, because one day you decided that you had to blame me for mom's death! Now you guess what, Jake? IT WASN'T MY FUCKING FAULT!! Get it in your thick skull that it was not my fault!"

I was actually surprised that he had the balls to come and face me after years. So long in silence, and he decides to speak up just now. Perfect timing.
